Appreciate the entire media and especially the BBC is against the government but during a lull in the football I had a look and was surprised to see we have the highest absolute number of new cases in the entire world which is quite impressive for a country of 70 million people.
You wouldn't know it from the coverage and peoples' attitudes, would you?

Yeah, wrong choice of word on my part guys.
Although to be fair, a lot of other countries are making it pretty much mandatory in order to lead a normal life.
If it reduces transmission in a meaningful way, I wouldn’t be against it, but it doesn’t seem to.

what it does is reduce the chances of hospitalisation and death from it. Now that can’t be a bad thing can it.

Who are making it mandatory and what are/is it restrictions ?

No it’s not a bad thing at all, that’s why all of my family have had the jab. People who chose not to shouldn’t be prevented from doing what they want to do, UNLESS the vaccine is proven to reduce transmission.
There’s been a lot in the news about Australia going heavy on certain sectors needing to be vaccinated.
Back home, you can’t visit a care home after the 11th of November unless you’ve been vaccinated. No negative test allowed, must be jabbed.

different studies have shown to reduce transmission for a time. This will vary on sample size and other factors.

as for Australia, wish our government here were so strong. They restricted travel and put saving lives/kicking Covid arse as priority number one.

not vaccinated, can’t visit care home, brilliant. Protect the most vulnerable.

So you would be happy for the vaccine to be made mandatory?
Looking at our current infection rate, I’m very doubtful that the vaccines make any tangible difference to transmission rates.

not what I said. Not seen one nation where it is mandatory. But cases where certain things require vaccination/negative test result.

what I have done is praise the measures taken by the Australian government to get Covid deaths to an acceptable level of zero.

I never said you did. I asked you a question. Would you be happy for the vaccine to be mandatory?
