I'm not after a two way discussion dude......we been doing the same merry-go-round theme for a whole now......so pointless going over the same old......I'll just post stuff which some may find interesting who may not even post on this forum........its called alternative views and of I'm not entitled to them then just say so

This is a football forum, that has some threads on other stuff, like this one, where posters can comment and debate issues of the day. What this isn’t, is a platform for someone to just stuff in order for it to be amplified on the net. If that’s what you’re after doing then you’ve chosen the wrong medium, and defo the wrong site.

Like I said mate...you have no clue what fascism is.
Aber is an anarchist so anyone who won't let him do anything he want's is a fascist <laugh>

Nobody (including Aber) has ever explained to me how anything runs/works under anarchy, who keeps the streets clean and the water/electricity/gas flowing, who negotiates trade deals with other countries. Oh, it must be some comity or something selected by the anarchists <laugh>

The figures are merely fact, what he’s done is create a false narrative to accompany them. The detail of cause of death is also available but he chose to swerve that, as that wouldn’t have suited the narrative he’d created.

There’s load out there doing similar ‘work’ some are just completely dishonest like Joe Smalley who merely twists the data and adds his own assumptions to his calculations, before publishing reams of graphs that are pure misinformation.
Maybe that's where Astro went.

You should read up on anarchy....its not the same as the media portrays as bloody violence and no structure.......but hey I wouldn't expect you 2 even consider an alternative to the current farce

I see this

That doesn't demonstrate that calling everyone who disagrees with you a fascist or a fascist supporter is correct.

Umberto Eco wrote a series of articles which have been republished as a pamphlet called "How to spot a fascist", maybe if you read it you'd have a better understanding of what fascism is.

I've still got your back, Boris :emoticon-0152-heart :emoticon-0165-muscl

The opening lines tells anybody with half a brain that it would have been the same for any government in charge. It's a 50/50 report that says the scientists are to blame too.

The UK's failure to do more to stop Covid spreading early in the pandemic was one of the worst ever public health failures, a report by MPs says.

The government approach - backed by its scientists

The report said this was based on dealing with a flu pandemic, and was done on the advice of its scientific advisers on the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage).

Although to some degree other parts of Europe were guilty of this too, the MPs said.

But the report by the cross-party group said there had been successes too - in particular the vaccination programme.

It described the whole approach - from the research and development through to the rollout of the jabs - as "one of the most effective initiatives in UK history".

"The veil of ignorance through which the UK viewed the initial weeks of the pandemic was partly self-inflicted," said the report.

The advice from scientists changed on 16 March 2020, but it was only a week later that a lockdown was announced.

"It was a deliberate policy - proposed by official scientific advisers and adopted by the governments of all of the nations of the UK.

"It is now clear that this was the wrong policy, and that it led to a higher initial death toll than would have resulted from a more emphatic early policy. In a pandemic spreading rapidly and exponentially, every week counted."

The MPs also highlighted how ministers in England rejected scientific advice to have a two-week "circuit-breaker" in the autumn.

They said it was impossible to know whether that would have prevented the second lockdown in November, although they pointed out it had not in Wales.

The UK was one of the first countries in the world to develop a test for Covid in January 2020, but despite this failed to translate that into an effective test-and-trace system during the first year of the pandemic.

Testing in the community stopped in March 2020 and for weeks during the first peak only those admitted to hospital were tested.

It was not until May that the NHS Test and Trace system was launched in England, but the report described its start as "slow, uncertain and often chaotic".

But it did praise the target set by Health Secretary Matt Hancock to get to 100,000 tests a day by the end of April, saying it played an important part in galvanising the system.

The greatest praise though was reserved for the vaccination programme and the way the government supported the development of a number of vaccines, including the Oxford-AstraZeneca jab.

It said the whole programme was one of the most effective initiatives in history, and will ultimately help save millions of lives here and across the world.

The development of treatments, such as dexamethasone, for Covid through the UK Recovery Trial was another area where the UK's response was genuinely world-leading, the report said.

And the NHS and government were also credited with the way hospital intensive care capacity was increased to ensure the majority who needed hospital treatment received it.

As the article states, it has a political leaning, especially from Hunt. However it does highlight that the errors and also the positives of the way it was ran. But you could look at every nation in Europe and point the finger, did anyone get it right? looking back now and stating what should have been done is easy. The official report will ensure blame is placed and political careers ended...I hope

Not really mate. If there's one thing the report shows is that the line of "captain hindsight" is largely a myth. Plenty at the time were criticaal of the government's slow response.

From those calling for a lockdown much earlier, to those in the Care Sector publicly asking for better protection for the elderly in care homes and the £37 billion on a track and trace which was incompetently handled but was stated as "world beating at the time".

The news channels on all stations, particularly GM TV had doctors and epidemiologists on who were specfically stating what they were saying at the time which was ignored. I think the thing which struck home was one doctor who said "there was nothing surprising in the report because we already knew much of it back in March last year".

You're the one who hates Jews on here and posts neo-Nazis bullshit.
