I had an antibody test last week, got the results yesterday…..and despite having had both jabs and having had COVID itself I’m showing zero. The immunosuppression drugs have seemingly wiped it. Albeit antibodies isn’t an exact measure of immunity as it’s ultimately T cells that provide the immune system ‘memory’, but nonetheless until I get a booster I can’t take the chance and so it’s mask, handgel and social distancing for me ffs.

Don't blame you for being careful but I wouldn't put too much stock in those tests as aren't they incredibly unreliable?

I know of 3/4 people who returned negative ones despite having covid not that long prior. This was about a year ago mind so they may have improved by then.

I’m good man. Will be visiting Stamford Bridge for the Carabao Cup tie later this month. Hopefully there’ll be another monsoon in the 2nd half, and this time we won’t get anyone sent off

I'm thinking of going to that but unsure as going to Watford the following weekend and London is a **** to drive to midweek.

Surely couldn't go worse than my last midweek trip there :bandit:

****ing coppers telling me the wrong tube station. Bet they had a right laugh about that, the ****s <laugh>

And we got soundly beaten after playing quite well. Least you know you’re unlikely to have a worse night than that one, if you do go.

Long drive home on a school night though tbf.

Ha, yeah, I do a bit of gammon baiting on GC now and then, and still post on the Saints board on match days.

Hope you’re well yourself mate. Between being tormented by red scousers, and trying to rein in @brb when he forgets his meds, life must get challenging for you on here <cheers>
God knows how you put up with those clowns on GC ?

We've got a couple of girls in year 10 and 11 with quite serious long Covid. One of them is in 2 day a week and needs a wheelchair on hand in case she's suddenly too fatigued to walk and the other is doing half days.

There are reports that 14% of young people may still have symptoms 15 weeks after having caught it.

It's not just about risk of death.

I'm hearing more and more about this almost every day. Heard about one in a secondary school near me with multiple organ failure. And I have to say it's this that worries me more than anything re Covid atm for the younger generation.

That would be the Government...so either the Education Secretary or the Prime Minister or the Health Secretary I would guess.

Oh fk they got enough going against em already, let's hope they get the time in prison they deserve hey......anyways my daughter had her letter of appointment and it wasn't being done at the school.....can't speak for anywhere else but that's the crack here

Now Canada are not listening to the science...no wonder the holocaust survivor out there made the speech she did the other day that I posted here.

New government gonna change this or not be worrying for the residents in Canada if they dont

Yes, this has been known since before the vaccine was rolled out. I can't believe you still haven't caught up.

The vaccine is there to prevent serious illness, not to stop you catching or passing it on altogether.

<doh>

So no need for mandatory vaccination anywhere then because the risk is down to the individual only.

I'm cool with that

Except the vaccine also dramatically reduces transmission because people are contagious for a shorter period of time.

You should be thanking us vaccinated people for making you safer.

Yeah that's definitely happening <laugh>

Ps thanks for joining the trial so I can be safe.......good luck
