I had an antibody test last week, got the results yesterday…..and despite having had both jabs and having had COVID itself I’m showing zero. The immunosuppression drugs have seemingly wiped it. Albeit antibodies isn’t an exact measure of immunity as it’s ultimately T cells that provide the immune system ‘memory’, but nonetheless until I get a booster I can’t take the chance and so it’s mask, handgel and social distancing for me ffs.

Also remember the daily free bottle of milk at school, ffs don't tell Archers.

Which either sat in the window all morning in summer, or on top of a cast iron radiator in winter. Either way it was warm and curdled by the time you were forced to drink it.

Only decent thing Thatcher the Snatcher ever did, firing that in the bin.

Yep, over 90% of the adult population has had at least one jab.

The bottom line is, that if you look at the COVID hospitalisation and death rates, the chances of it making you seriously ill or worse, is far greater if you’ve chosen to swerve the vaccine, the percentages are more marked in the middle aged category.

Let's just ignore natural immunity if you have already had covid is more effective against fighting covid compared to the vaccine.

Doesn’t look good for me then. But like you I am masked up and have hands that smell like vodka all the time.

Ask your quack for an antibody test mate, might need a prompt from your consultant though.

I’ve had COVID though….and the immunity from infection vs vaccination debate goes on, that Senator wasn’t claiming it was greater in unvaccinated infected people vs vaccinated, his point was that that group were required to have the vaccine for travel etc when they could have a good level of immunity. He has a point and maybe a positive antibody test could be used as well as proof of vaccination.

Will respect fella.....the difference between you and the healthy that have already had it are a million miles apart.......I agree try protecting the vulnerable but let's not blanket the population with lockdowns just so we can protect less than one percent of the population.

isn't nature a bitch

Cheers for advice, been struggling to get an app for my flu jab, doubt I will get them to do this for me.

Who mentioned lockdowns? Not me. I’m not expecting anything from anyone, so that’s a complete strawman of a post and is of zero relevance to what I actually posted.

Teh difference between me and the healthy, well I hate to say it but I am at a much lower risk of dying because of my vaccination. The numbers prove it. Already shown that it kills the stupid, healthy and unvaccinated.

You need to look at percentages rather than numbers.
There are many more vaccinated people than un-vaccinated so the numbers mean nothing on their own.

yeah i put the percentages in. this is for double dose vs unvaccinated (i think the %s are even lower for single dose)

if you take the average since the start of the year where the virus was at its most deadliest, you were are around 30x more likely to die from covid if you caught it.

Taking averages from March, (so 3 months worth of date), for ever 4 people who died from covid, 3 were unvaccinated and 1 was double dosed.

From April this drops (two months worth of date), it's about 1.4:1 as a ratio so really appears negligible.

Theres your percentages for you diego

We've got a couple of girls in year 10 and 11 with quite serious long Covid. One of them is in 2 day a week and needs a wheelchair on hand in case she's suddenly too fatigued to walk and the other is doing half days.

There are reports that 14% of young people may still have symptoms 15 weeks after having caught it.

It's not just about risk of death.

<ok> good argument mate, i don't think theres numbers on long covid on ONS so i can't analyse that for you

Went to the Chemist this morning, I got offered a flu jab while there, I thought do I need to consult with Abe first, I don't know what's in it, she mentioned x4 of something. I thought yeah why not.

I presume that means no live matches? That's a proper pisser, but it's just not worth it under your current personal circumstances. Stay safe mate <ok>

If you’d have read it properly I was actually agreeing with you, or rather the Senator in the clip you posted.

Incredible.

Like I said I don't care whether you agree on not..........I'm just posting stuff people don't get on mainstream news

Good on you.... if you're getting on in the age groups it's possibly worth having because ew is got almost fk all immunity......the younger age groups under 60 don't need it though
