Exactly! Imagine if daily they reported cancer figures in the same way they do covid figures, people would be scared out their wits. News headlines such as; It can get you anytime, it will sneak up on you out the blue and in some cases (pancreactic) you will probably have no more than six weeks to live, once identified.

My mate’s in hospital with pancreatic cancer. Spread to his lungs as well. A month ago he was back at work after being furloughed, now it looks like he’s on his way out. Came on so sudden.

We never know what’s round the corner, that’s why I plan to live like every day might just be my last; cos guess what?, it might.

Cancer isn't a highly communicable disease though, and anyone who has a close friend or family member that tells them one day "I have cancer" feels a lot of fear.

It is understood that up to 900 workers have been sent home from the plant, more than 10% of the total workforce.

Case numbers in the local area have been rising sharply, meaning that it has been difficult to avoid disruption, say sources within the firm.

The city had 955 Covid cases per 100,000 people in the week to 10 July.

In contrast, the average area in England had 287.

There is no support now for people, the CEV are told to essentially shield. You would have seen what your wife went through until 1st august last year - being told don't even go in the garden was the advice. Since then as restrictions were lifted she hasnt had to spend time locked away, because precautions were in place to protect her.

The removal of wearing masks is crazy, it helps prevent the spread of the virus. Now we are told they are not needed/personal choice.

Covid lockdowns have not stopped my 6 month in person skin cancer clinic checks or 3 month transplant clinics. All done face to face. (a mish mash of a post)

Health and Safety at work act. Outside of work you can change a lightbulb on a swivel chair. Try that at work, nissan have an obligation to protect staff.

My wife is classed as extremely vulnerable mate, please don’t assume that none of this concerns me.
We are aware of the risks involved in opening back up, but we are both double jabbed and we would make our own choices about how comfortable we feel doing certain things.

I understand the Isle of Wight is around 118 square miles in size, will that be big enough for them all if we kick off the locals.
