Being ou of the EU in the case of the vaccine has been on e real plus point in all of this. Maybe it's one of the things the UK finally got right in this global ****storm...

We did get it right, for once. Although I really don't want to be getting into an argument with the EU over this, nor do I want anyone being bullied. I'm hoping it's just the media shhite stirring as usual, and we can come to sensible agreements for all vulnerable citizens.

Some things should be beyond political point scoring. Don’t really care if people are pro or anti EU, everybody should be entitled to a vaccine and those at risk, especially more quickly.

that ain't happening just as from country to country medical provision varies massively.

Yep. And it may be that this is a case in mind that the EU will use to push for a Europe wide policy on health provision.

People will always see it as a way to sell copy. However the important thing is that contracts are honored, supply of vaccines is shared equally around the world. We dont want to see the reports similar to that of Germany holding onto equipment while Italy suffered early in the crisis.

so you are calling the medics who complete the death certs liars or incompetent . Which is it ? .
You call them what you want mate, i have nothing against medics <doh>

I have stated i didn't like the method of reporting "having returned a positive test in the last 28 days" means literally **** all. What did they die of?

you do realise the death certs , which make no reference to positive tests , show a larger number than the quick one quoted on the news etc .
However the answer to your question is overwhelmingly Covid 19 according to scientists and the medics ,

Not saying your wrong there mate but if your'e not then an awful lot of people (including all parties and NHS spokespeople) have been getting it very wrong on radio, TV and news paper interviews.

How would you like the death toll to be calculated?

I would like deaths to be "calculated" by actual cause of death not just assuming that a positive test sometime in the last 28 days contributed to it.
Do we have any figures for those who actually got rid of COVID in a 28 day period?

People frequently recover then relapse well after 28 days and won’t be officially a Covid death. When you’re dealing with the number of deaths we are daily a crude method is required. Some of those people may have died within weeks or months anyway but in the vast majority of cases Covid robbed them of that time.

Some knobhead always comes out with “they’re counting people who got hit by a bus, the numbers aren’t reliable”. How many people get hit by buses? A statistically insignificant number.
