hence my point about excess deaths ( point b ) though i should point out the restrictions have by the same token reduced deaths from RTA's ,pollution and other infectious illnesses .
The only real truth is that too many people are dying because of the carnage cause worldwide by this virus
the ONS just report whats on the death cert as i said .
What you are saying is your mate the paramedic poddles up the road and finds a stiff under a bus and thinks perhaps i should check if he tested positive for Covid .

Get real ... Europe death numbers are also based on those testing positive ... if Covid doesn't kill you outright it accelerates death from underlying causes, particularly if they are respiratory related...
The Excess Deaths Number is far and away the most telling statistic in terms of the impact of the virus on mortality ... and we have the highest because our country is being run by the most incompetent bunch of politicians in the modern world ... the end.
Over the last 10 months or so, i know so many people who have had virus. It's in the hundreds, and yet i only know of 3 losses, direct from covid.
I worked all the way through it, no isolation, in a warehouse full of people.
Same but different mate, i have worked right through it (except for the first 8 weeks when custom died off) and go into places daily where no **** is given, heard of very few cases and no deaths.
That said, i know too many people who have lost friends/relatives to this to make it very real for me outside of work.
My problem is the reporting of deaths not the reality they are happening.
Don't get me wrong, it's serious, very serious. But i do not for one second believe the figures. So many deaths are put down to covid.
I fully believe many are really ill, and sad to say, maybe go anyway, but then get covvid, and that is the tipping point.
Or as @Solid_Air 2 said earlier, maybe paramedics should stop poodling around...Car crash, head truama, had covid 17 days ago. Cause of death................
