The numbers are from the ONS
Three of the government’s scientific advisers on coronavirus have warned Covid-19 ”is spreading too fast to lift lockdown in England”, arguing the rate of infection and number of new cases remains too high, which the ONS places at 8,000 per day.

So how are they predicting these numbers, by that I mean proving it, and why has it not been brought up in a briefing yet, unless the media do that today, and if we are comparing like for like, what are their forecasts for other countries?
