If he goes full on Trump and defends him to the hilt, then he better hope that the press aren’t doing a further ‘rope a dope’ and don’t have any further revelations or definitive proof of his jaunts e.g. pictures or CCTV.

He’ll defend him at arms length and then announce some complete joke of an internal cabinet inquiry imo, that’ll take 2 months to come back and clear him.
