So who's expecting Boris to step out to todays briefing, and do the honourable thing and announce the dismissal of Cummings.

If he goes full on Trump and defends him to the hilt, then he better hope that the press aren’t doing a further ‘rope a dope’ and don’t have any further revelations or definitive proof of his jaunts e.g. pictures or CCTV.

He’ll defend him at arms length and then announce some complete joke of an internal cabinet inquiry imo, that’ll take 2 months to come back and clear him. He’s completely beholden to Cummings, in more ways than one, as Cummings is a maverick and knows waaaaaayyyyyy too much, as he was the architect of much of it. If he dumps him Cummings could bring the entire pack of cards down.

Oh dear, that’s a massive error of judgement. He’s way out of touch with public feeling on this one.

Trying to move the debate onto schools is a dead cat btw.

But... but... he as a father was going to have to look after his 4 year old himself. That is a SEVERE childcare issue (according to Boris).

I think it says a lot about how Boris views looking after his own children that he sees that as being a severe childcare issue.
