I’m not sure how we can be clear of this disease until a vaccine has been approved. Without complete social distancing it must be impossible to eradicate, no?

... and it's spreading to the far less wealthy South... very worrying

I just don't know how the South will cope with it, some areas South of Naples/Bari dependent on which side of the coast you come in on are quite primitive. To get some idea of how primitive some areas are, they only moved cave dwellers out in the 50's from Sassi - When I say 50's I do actually mean 1950's. An area like Basilicata, could see whole villages being wiped out if it repeats what has happened in Lombardy.

Wait til it gets into the townships in SA and other African countries. So many of those people have illnesses and other diseases. It will work through them like wildfire. SA is on proper lockdown now. Hopefully it works.

I'll have a guess what Trump will do to save his arse. He will say this is the fault of China and Europe (inc UK) for spreading it to the US. He will say I said all along we need to strengthen our borders blah, blah fooking blah.

India is another ... apparently 90% of mobiles in India are pay-as-you-go or pre-paid ... no work, no pay, no ability to communicate ... frightening prospect

Ironically the Mexicans want a wall to keep out American immigrants to stop the virus spreading

The body count could well do for him regarding a second term ... the democrats will be quick to highlight his early dismissal of the virus as a bit of a snotty nose from those commie yellow types ... combined with him ditching Obama care which might just have saved some of the poor ****ers who are catching this and have no health insurance ...

God bless our NHS <ok>

India is one of the most densely populate areas on earth but has people who display a lot more sense than the UK. The government there asked politely that people stayed indoors for 24 hours to allow contact virus to die off in an effort to slow the spread, the streets were deserted.

Whole villages wiped out? with a death rate of less than 5% they'd be ****ing unlucky.

I was sceptical at first, but I'm not a world leader. The reason I was sceptical is because I couldn't understand if it was true, why we were not closing the borders! There is probably not a country on the list, that is guilty of that, we all acted too late! Some very harsh lessons have been learned, freedom of movement is good, BUT we must shut the borders when a pandemic warning goes out, we need not just shut the borders but isolate it village, by village, town by town, you have to stop it getting into the cities. We were warned about China, we did nothing, now us along with Italy, Spain and the States are paying the price with life.

He’s already blaming China for the existence of the disease. I posted an article earlier that predicted that he will blame the governors of the worst hit regions for not heeding his advice that this is very bad, real bad, the baddest thing that anyone can imagine, apart from him as he knew it was going to be so bad and tried to warn people about the baddity.

Orange Man bad though. Right?
