Their solution, to ask their mate Dyson to build some, is completely ****ing ridiculous. They don't even have a prototype ffs, and will cost a ****ing fortune.

This has really pissed me off. I'll stfu up now and go get drunk instead to avoid a ban.

We do have some companies capable of doing this but they aren’t donating to the Tory party currently.

The JEPI requires every member to sign off on each proposal. Fundamentally wasting time in a situation where essentially money is no object.

Yeah but it’s all to do with Brexit.

It’s not even ventilators it’s PPE.

Something my thoughts were around but this is the best article I could find to explain those thoughts, which raises additional concerns beyond that of just supplying ventilators. It's not just ventilators the NHS needs, it's the staff who know how to use them...

The availability of large numbers of robust, reliable, less high-tech ventilators would be essential in this situation; however we cannot avoid the reality that the training of intensive care specialists takes years, and the more patients requiring ventilation, the smaller the proportion who will have their care delivered by the most highly trained staff.

Numerous member countries independently posting requirement tenders on live portals for medical supplies to tackle COVID-19... but Brexit obviously.

If your misses has not received the letter as standard, she can speak to her GP and they can make the referral to have one sent out.

The deadline to receive these letters is tomorrow so it's worth waiting until then before contacting the GP.
The GP is saying they won't send letters but after a "discussion" with me they will print out her prescriptions that show her to be severe.

To be fair if we'd stayed in the EU we would be in a better position to deal with the virus, not suggesting for a second the changes would be huge, but a difference none the less and that could involve people not dying. I think you better get used to this sorta thing as I'm pretty sure there will be a load of downsides become apparent in the next few years that will impact on people, and unsurprisingly we might get a touch pissed off
