I have said before that the age group 20-30 is at risk. That was identified in Italy in the latter weeks of the virus treatment. The elderly had already taken the beds, so there was no room for the younger patients (20-30).
Guidance is now that older patients will be removed from machines to free them up for younger patients with a better chance of survival. Older people being disconnected, sedated and left to die.

These are the horrendous choices that lockdown is designed to remove from clinicians.

The trick with every media story is to ask some very simple questions.

  • What are the facts in what you are telling me as opposed to what you "understand" is the case?
  • Are you able to offer me any comparatives, or are you presenting me with the situation in isolation?
  • Are you working to a narrative?

What I have discovered, with most news stories of this nature, is that the media works with a narrative, with no comparatives, and with few, if any, facts. In other words, what we are presented with is propaganda not news. And when I see it, I dismiss it, and ask the question "Why do do want me to believe what you are trying to make me believe is true? "

Almost every news item on terrorism is presented in this manner, as was the Epstein story. And it's been exactly the same with this Coronavirus outbreak.
Do you trust the media fatboy? If so do you assume everybody is as thick as you and your family? The measures being taken are generally from the WHO and not from the dubious papers or alternative YouTube’s you clearly gain all you limited knowledge from. If I were you I’d still keep smelling the pensioners knickers thrown at you in better days my lardy arsed pensioner.

Largest number of UK deaths from Coronavirus within the last 24hrs, 87 deaths, 83 within England, aged from 33 to 103 years of age.

I was watching Jeremy Vine this morning (I know, times are really bad) and they were showing that the first 100,000 people to be infected took 67 days. The next 100,000 took 11 days iirc, and the next 100,000 took 4 days. Mental stuff.

When you do, he'll be asking you if you're still convinced it's all the Chinese people's fault. Should be a good convo, send me the transcript <cheers>

well it came from China just like the last one in their dangerous food markets, so my answer is yes.

Have they closed down your restaurant yet mate? Not because of the virus, just for the sake of good taste :bandit:
I sold the restaurant mate about 10 months ago. Running a catering company now sending foodstuffs and spices all over Thailand but thanks for your concern.

You mean you sold Robbies place? Does he know yet? <yikes>

Do you send the breadbuns you’re up all night baking all over Thailand? Or do you sell them for coppers to local jungle folk?

Positive news about the Excel Centre being converted into a hospital. Said it will be able to hold 2,000 beds with NHS and Military personnel.
thought it was 2 wards of 2000 so 4000 beds . Mind you not sure i'd want to be on a ward of 2000 and right now i desperately don't want to end up in hospital or even worse the wife ending up in one .

Even though you still might not be able to save the life of that younger patient, sort of like buy one, get one free. Sorry old fella while we just unplug you, sleep tight sweet prince...

Read an Italian priest in his seventies died after giving up his ventilator for someone else. Grim.
