What people also forget is that during the previous Winter, deaths from cold rose 140% in the UK. That number alone eclipses worldwide deaths from covid-19. And then the number rose yet again, the following year.

I find it incredible that some people seek to deny these stats, and I have to assume that it's because they do not want to face the fact that our Government and the media is purposely painting a false and bleak picture of this virus. I think they are doing it to adjust the world economy.

Simple. The figure doesn’t measure people who ‘died from the cold’ it measures the difference between the number of deaths in the 3 months prior and the 3 months post. The causes of death are anything from falling down the stairs to dementia to bad aids ffs.

Using that figure as some kind of yardstick for the effect of COVID-19 is bollocks basically.

I notice in the Guardian piece, no mention of Guardian pushed renewable driving up energy prices which is proven to be killing more and more people in winter over time. Old people cannot afford to keep the heating on Guardian says "Doctors and groups representing older people said too little was being done to keep older people warm"." << with a straight face

COVID19 s effect will have to be something we have many years of data for to tease out a signal in the numbers to provide seasonal estimates if it keeps going round in winter

Even running with your argument (whatever it is), and assuming that 50,100 deaths in the UK was not due solely to the cold (which they were, because they are 50,100 deaths on top of all the deaths in the UK normally expected during that time), can you not see how 50,100 (or 175,000, whatever the total number of deaths were) in the UK alone is a ****ing sight more than 10,000 deaths worldwide?

The reason why the NHS will be overwhelmed is not down to this virus - which is nothing more than a new strain of flu from which 99.9% of people will recover from without any treatment whatsoever - but due to the incompetence of our Government (assuming you don't subscribe to the view that it's been orchestrated) and the negligent over sensationalism of our irresponsible media, mixed with the complete and utter ****wittedness of the masses.

Libby, my eldest had open heart surgery when he was ten years old. He was on the kids cardiac ward in Southampton for three months. I visited him extensively over that period of time. I could tell you stories that would chill your bones and cause you to lose faith in any kind of loving God.

Hospitals are not good places to be at the best of times.
