Only those who can’t work from home and who don’t drive should be using public transport anyway. Sadiq has been banging that drum over the last couple of days.
And people have been completely ignoring it. Same as they did with the pubs etc.

Yeah the country is full of ******s, who’d have thought...

I think it’s right to keep trying to hammer the message home though in the hope more people take it on board.

Which is patently not going to happen, as the country is seemingly full of belligerent ****ing morons.

They need to stop ****ing around, look at the Italian experience and simply go on lockdown now.

That was his reasoning. The Amazon is being cut down for soya, and if everyone went vegan then they would continue to do it for more soya.

Looking forward to understanding the next completely rational step in Ern's logic <ok>

My using oatmilk instead of dairy must be very confusing for him.

The problem with that is the effects of total isolation on the mental and physical health of the population. Totally stopping people going outside for a potential period of months could have all sorts of knock on effects. There’s already been an increase in drug addicts relapsing and the social consequences of a total lockdown could be quite large.

The optimum solution is people voluntarily following the rules and having a social conscience. So I understand why they are taking this approach.

We all as individuals need to do our bit to convince the people we know to follow the guidance or we will all suffer the effects of a more draconian lockdown.

About time, shoot anyone who does not have a pass.

I have fake passes for sale*

*spelling maybe incorrect <whistle>

This reminds me of the Carry On Camping gag with the sign at the nudist camp that says "All asses must be shown"

When Sid James asks where the foreman is? The bloke says "Gone for a p"

Best Carry On gag I would have to say.

They’ve been going round for a week these rumours.

My mates wife’s brother works for the MOD at the foreign office, she rang him on Thursday and he said the plan is in place and it may happen last Friday or possibly Monday. I think we have another week. I often travel up and down the M5 , there is a massive army logistics centre at Tewkesbury and I have seen more army vehicles on the roads and never seen any prior to the last week. Though they’ve said the army will be helping deliver stuff to the vulnerable who have now been locked down for 12 weeks.

what I don’t understand is the death rate in Italy is still rising and they’ve been locked up for what 11 days now? Spain they’ve been locked up for 7 and the death rate still rising.

Also you're finally admitting that the forest is being cleared for cattle/cattle feed. Took a while...

So basically what you're trying to say is that a vegan diet requires food, and you think that humans will eat the equivalent amount of soya as cattle currently do + all the soya grown on the land previously occupied by cattle?

Seeing as 60-80% of the world's land suitable for crops is currently used by animal rearing, do you not think we can manage without? As per my previous question, how much ****ing soya do you think mankind would consume?
It needs financial assistance from the G20 for this to stop !

The reason the death rate is still rising despite the lockdown, is the deaths are patients that entered hospital over the course of the last two weeks. I think Lombardy saw it's death rate drop today on yesterday (which was the highest) for the first time.

Has to be just a matter of time before they do it.

Spain and Italy probably not as militant as Russia and China. I think I heard there wasn't a single new case of infection in China yesterday but that could be bollox. It is supposed to be reducing there though.

Even if countries do get it under control there is going to be a second wave. Apparently always happens. Lots to look forward to.
