Ok, you are going to have to entice the other cat to get your cat back :bandit:
Well good thing is the other cat is local and has a collar so if i see it ill be sure to ask where mine is<laugh>

I Sprinkled cat biscuits from where i saw him leading to my gaff. And food outside window and his bed towel.

I had one of my cats years back go missing for like a week - the vet basically said sometimes they get locked in peoples garages. Turned up eventually absolutely Marvin.
Thing is tho hes never been out before and were just looking after him for the birds sister for a few weeks, so he wont know where to go back to.

I agree, but this really isn’t a “young v old” thing as much as there are undoubtedly a lot of ignorant youngsters. Still seeing old and frail people out and about. Still people putting themselves in danger in ridiculously long and congested queues.
but i needed food and please don't mention online deliveries as they're fully booked for next 3 weeks .

I’m not having a go, mate. There will be people with no other choice but loads of things being set up to help the vulnerable to stop them having to. Guess it’s harder if you’re more remote and/or far from anyone you know. Waitrose going elderly/disabled-only in the first hour of trading from tomorrow I believe but that only helps to an extent.

Anyway, this is a message from my mate in China. I reckon it gives us an insight into how life might be for us individually here in the coming weeks and months.

Otherwise you could just take that photo you took to Battersea and ask if they have any spare that look that your cat?
Lol was my 1st thought but then i remembered he has 6 toes on one foot<laugh><doh>

On a slightly lighter note, I decided to get some wood, emulsion and other DIY bits and bobs in readiness for a total lockdown and assuming I won’t get the virus. It appears that many others have the same idea as the shelves in B&Q resembled the pictures of the supermarket shelves!!
A typical British response, “could spend a few weeks indoors so let’s redecorate the house” <laugh>

If you could put a picture of those B&Q shelves on here mate, it might help Sucky <ok>

As of today, 108 people are believed to have died as a result of this flu. Among a population of around 70,000,000, that number represents approximately 0.00015% of the population.

Let’s put this into perspective.

Between November 2017 and March 2018, around 50,100 more people (ie above seasonal expectations) died as a result of the cold snap, in the UK.

That number represents approximately 0.07% of the UK population.

Deaths worldwide from covid-19 currently stand at less than 10,000.

I am not saying that covid-19 isn’t dangerous, but at the moment it is far less of a threat to health and our freedoms than the idiots who are ramping up the fear.
This is not only a completely fatuous argument it also contains ‘facts’ that aren’t facts.

Firstly, why use the seasonal death stats for the 17/18 winter season, and not either of the 2 that have followed it?

Could it be that the 17/18 figure was twice that of the 25k for the 2 following years?

Secondly, the figure you quoted isn’t a measure of deaths above seasonal expectations, it’s a figure that compares the death rate to the 3 months prior and the 3 months post.

Thirdly, those people didn’t die due to a ‘cold snap’ the vast majority of the deaths that make up this figure are over 75’s, who’s cause of death can be anything from falling down the stairs, to dementia, to flu.

Lastly, using that stat to then try and make out that COVID-19 is somehow a lesser deal, is both disingenuous, and either plain ****ing dumb, or utterly dishonest (I suspect the former given its you).

You’re welcome.

yeah but thats the thing me and 300 crumblies raided Sainsburys this morning & with them spending half their time blocking aisles chatting to folk they haven't seen for a bit . It seemed pretty good breeding ground to me . I'm not on any social media ,apart from this & a similar forum on another topic , so haven't heard of any local groups despite doing internet searches though amazingly some locals i've never seen before appeared when the fire engine pulled up outside my place this morning .
