I went to see my mum last night in the home she is in. It dawned upon me that if I had the Covid-19 virus, it’s likely that I could cause the demise of half of the other residents in there. Most of the residents, including my mum, are really frail

In the exact same situation. Yes, I'll probably survive it but my mum almost definitely wouldn't.

I meant as a medium to long term investment. Maybe give it a week or so before buying the dip. Demand for oil isn’t going to significantly decrease for quite a while yet, whatever governments do - and most won’t do much - to drive a switch to cleaner fuels.
Not so sure about oil, but yeah give it a week or two for the market to bottom out, then virtually any FTSE100 blue chip is a decent bet for a chunk of short / medium term profit imo.

Hate working at home, but at least I will save money on fuel.

What’s wrong with you?!

Working from home is the ****.

Just make sure you have a proper office space set up. I work from home at least one day week, if I don’t have many appointments I’ll do two from home.

Proper coffee, casual lunch, comfort of your own home. What’s the problem? Unless you really struggle to get into work mode at home it’s the bollocks.

It’s basically a guarantee of making money as long as you don’t wait too long to invest.

Edit: tbh even if you invest now for the long term you’ll still make money

By the way let me repeat - stop being such massive pussies!

Do you freak out every winter about the flu?

As long as people have a basic level of not being ******ed this will all blow over without causing much in the way of difficulty.

Even in motorway services people are finally washing there hands properly which suggests people are taking it seriously enough.

It will spread, you’ll probably have some minor changes or at the very least have to write a policy or confirm you’re sticking to government guidelines. Other than that unless we have a major outbreak which is unlikely most people will be fine.

Chinese people arent made of plastic.

Cant lose if you take a 10 year approach and do DRIP .
As it is shares are still above 12 months ago levels

Just been around my local Morrisons, there was a fat blonde woman in her mid 40s and her son who looked around 13ish both wearing surgical masks (the only ones in the store), neither were wearing gloves but were quite happy to pull/push the trolley about by handle or cage whilst occasionally rubbing their faces around and under the masks when uncomfortable.
The brain dead masses panic protecting **** all.

Whilst I agree I was thinking today what I would do if I got it. I don't do sick days and during this whole pullava I didn't give it a second thought I'd do any different this time. But now I'm thinking what if I pass it on to someone who may have someone vulnerable at home who gets it and dies. So whilst I think it will all blow over there is an aspect to this which does give pause for thought.

If I got it I’d have two weeks at home, be able to cancel all my meetings without any **** and actually catch up on my work without having to do evenings and weekends.

Sounds brilliant to me.
