This **** is so overblown. Compared to the population of China, the amount of cases is miniscule. And they haven't had a single confirmed case outside of Huabei province.

There have been loads of confirmed cases outside Hubei. To stop it China have brought the country to a standstill. Who can say whether it will flare up again once everyone is back at work.
Outside China confirmed cases are doubling every 2-5 days. This virus will spread and many yet will get infected. It kills 1-2% and it's massively skewed towards killing the elderly. The diamond princess gives us an insight into the effects on old people, 700 infected, 10 dead so far.
Countries like USA just won't know what's hit them, 6 dead in one state that supposedly has only a few dozen cases tells you hundreds are infected and spreading it.
As long as the spread is slowed/ contained then healthcare systems will cope and it won't be serious. For us it's early days.

Not disregarding your statement but im not sure you thought the numbers through on this part.
Obviously its more deadly to older people and ones with weaker immune systems but the 10 dead in 700 infected is around 2.5% (dont have a calculator on me). Thats hardly a massive increase considering you would expect it to be far more deadly in that demographic
Most of those infected haven't fully recovered so we know the numbers will probably rise.
10 in 700 is around 1.5% and sets a minimum.

Trump has suggested using a "solid flu vaccine" to treat the Coronavirus.
Why have none of the so called medical experts thought of this? Better still, get the solid flu vaccine and marinade it in Dettol for a week. That will work even better.
