Buildings are not all designed the same, a lot of it is determined by ground conditions and it’s determined use. The structural integrity of building 7 was compromised due to fire damaging one of the main columns. They’re effectively a house of cards once the structural integrity is compromised.

If you build a bridge out of paper straws, you can take out many of the components and it will stay intact. Take out an integral component and the bridge will collapse.

Id expect it wasn't the only build like that. Slim chances of that being a unique thing no?

All nearby buildings took significant damage, though many were much smaller and as such will have been subject to different building regulations and fire strategy.

The damage caused to services by the main buildings collapsing, meant the water feed to building 7 was out of service, and that lead to a raging inferno with no sprinklers.
