... because Boris has rather whiffy flatulence :bandit:

I could name a few on this board who defended Boris to the hilt when I posted about what he was and is, in around 2014. Told "he was very intelligent" I was.

One of those people is even a mod here now <whistle> and not such a fan of Boris now.

or maybe its unhelpful to do as many seem to be doing, pointing to the worst case, ignoring why they are the worst cases, and saying that's really likely going to happen everywhere. It's not helpful, especially when health services are essentially doing everything they possibly can already, its not like they are holding back because reasons.

It's not on Boris or gov as much as us (it was here spreading already), it's been on us since the first advice was given (unless you think gov should have the power to weld you into your home), and we knew it was a pandemic. It's on the media too because the media created panic buying in the initial stages of it spreading in the UK, which spread that virus all over the place.

Since then the pejorative we have not covered ourselves in glory, though the response has improved thankfully.

So as far as how bad this gets infection rates wise, it's actually on us at this point, no one else.

Sis, if 80% do get this I don't think anyone argues that the overwhelming majority will get it mildly. Misses the point about the fact that if even only 2% of those get it severely enough to be hospitalised in a short time-frame then our intensive care services will be swamped. It can't have escaped your attention that people with stage 3 and stage 4 cancers are being refused 'last chance' treatments because of the risk of infections, and all sorts of vital but not urgent heart surgery is being postponed.

It's mass hysteria to say everyone will develop pneumonia, for sure, but it's dangerous complacency to also fool ourselves that because most people will be barely effected, then it's just this year's common cold.

Not by me, mate. Eddie Mair showed what he was years ago. And as for the intelligence? He went to the same uni and got the same second class degree as Diane Abbott, so beloved of alt-right website memes by the likes of thick Kustard, who couldn't even tie his own shoelaces in terms of intelligence, let alone lick Dianne Abbott's (that's Saxton's gig).

Just had my online shopping delivery well what they had anyway .
So i go outside as the driver starts unloading van i ask him to put the crates about 10ft from the house and i will ferry them to the door where Mrs waiting to deposit them in kitchen etc. Driver picks up crate and goes "oh its alright mate i'll put them on your ramp" i.e. within 6inches of open door with Mrs standing there . Ignores my "no seriously they will fine there". So mrs starts unpacking and driver keeps insisting on bringing them to door and saying "please let me give you a hand" . I think i did well to keep it to "Seriously we don't need your help and would prefer you to keep your distance " rather than just "Just **** off and sit in your van dickhead" .
This social distancing is hard work :emoticon-0112-wonde

There's signs all over the railway about it, but Transpennine Express (in contrast to every other train company in the north) is insisting that its conductors and revenue inspectors still go through the ****ing train like Covid19 Marys collecting fares, inspecting tickets, and demolishing the efforts of passengers to socially isolate on otherwise empty trains.

Ouch!

Can’t believe people are moaning about the likes of Boris and Hancock getting tests when we don’t have enough...

It’s the PM and the Secretary of State for Health ffs of course we need to know if they’ve got it given they and those around them are the ones making the decisions on how the entire nation gets through this.

So?

My mum deserves one too

So?

My mum deserves one too

Is she an integral part of the nations response to the crisis and in regular contact with others who hold similar positions?

Don’t get me wrong we need to keep trying to increase testing overall, particularly for health workers. But the idea that it’s unfair to test Boris and Hancock is ****ing stupid.

Presumably your mum should be in incubation like the rest of us at the minute, so she poses far less of a risk to the population than Boris does at this time, given how many people he has to interact with day to day.

The priority should be key workers to get tested first, after that elderly showing symptoms, kids showing symptoms, all women, old men, and then the rest of the men and only after that should we begin to address the several hundred other ‘genders’ who have non-stop run their mouths about being recognised for the past 5 years.

She’s smarter than Boris...she’s been in self isolation for 4 weeks now

The world needs to save the smart ones
