Lots of people thinking they can just refuse to go to work and will then be paid 80% of their wages...
If they cough before refusing I bet they can
We’ve had loads of people not turn up to work and we’ve already started to get unions contact us to say they think we should pay people to not be at work despite the fact the services haven’t been suspended. ****ing ridiculous.
Nope as you don’t get 80% if you’re self isolating, you get ssp

I'm getting a bit tired of the news broadcasters constantly reporting what I see as negative news over informative information or asking questions to that effect on the general publics behalf. Yet again this morning they have shown old footage of empty shelves in supermarkets, I consider this scare mongering and completely unhelpful to the situation. If the shelves are still empty, then wouldn't it be better to contact politicians and ask the questions regarding what is being done, either via increased employee numbers or the army. We need to know what the plans are to move us forward, not pictures of empty shelves from days ago, it's irresponsible reporting while people are being forced to remain home.
I've been saying this from day one, and got jumped on.
lol, I was talking about Fellaini testing positive.Ban him!

You should say "ok we'll look into getting the grant and them receiving it on 30th April"
They'll be back at work before you can say "lazy arsed ****s"
lol, I was talking about Fellaini testing positive.
When you mentioned in the previous post about not wanting to go to work and get 80% I swear the word "unions" came into my head immediately. Probably because of my bad experiences with union types who wouldnt lift a cup unless the contract specified it
And of course, Unions don't have to shell out for people "not wanting" to work if they can get someone else to shell out. Then the workers can still pay their dues![]()
yeah, I know, but the BBC wouldn't let me comment on the original story, so I just had to wait until someone posted soemthing similar so I could write it.and I was talking of the virus testing positive for Fellaini.
So we're not even talking about the same thing.![]()
Since the services are continuing they aren’t entitled to the 80% so they’ll be told it’s a choice between working or we will consider they’ve handed in notice and aren’t working a notice period so won’t get any payment for termination of contracts. (Or words to that effect run through HR first of course!)
I expect most will decide to come back to work!
Some of these people provide services to key worker premises and are able to work entirely independently without contact with other people. Lazy arseholes.
