I agree about forcible vaccinations. It is incredibly rare for anyone to die from the vaccine but it has happened. Once case of a healthy person forcibly jabbed and dying would surely blow the policy out of the water.
I like the idea of the unvaccinated (from choice) having restricted access to NHS capacity. Should concentrate minds.
Feels like a bit of a logistical nightmare. Probably easier just to get vaccinated.
Employers can play a part as well. My company in the US gave all employees a 3 month window to get jabbed, anyone who didn’t for anything other than certified health reasons would have to leave. 90 people out of a workforce of close to 20,000 in the US ended up going, which is still a lot for a science based company which actually makes COVID treatments.

I really don't think people will comply with a 'cancelled' Christmas, especially with what's been in the news this week...
Correct.
Then people will start blaming each other if/when the **** really hits the fan.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said Wednesday that people might need a fourth Covid-19 shot sooner than expected after preliminary research shows the new omicron variant can undermine protective antibodies generated by the vaccine the company developed with BioNTech.
Pfizer and BioNTech released results from an initial lab study Wednesday morning that showed a third shot is effective at fighting the omicron variant, while the initial two-dose vaccination series dropped significantly in its ability to protect against the new strain. However, the two-dose series likely still offers protection against getting severely sick from omicron, the companies said.
Bourla noted that a preliminary study by the company was based on a synthetic, lab-created copy of the variant and more data is needed from tests against the real virus. Those real-world results will be more accurate and are expected in the next two weeks, the Pfizer CEO said.
“When we see real-world data, will determine if the omicron is well covered by the third dose and for how long. And the second point, I think we will need a fourth dose,” Bourla told CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
Bourla previously projected that a fourth shot would be needed 12 months after the third dose. “With omicron we need to wait and see because we have very little information. We may need it faster,” he said.
The Pfizer CEO said what’s most important right now is to roll out third doses for the winter. Public health officials are worried about a spike in Covid infections as people gather more indoors to escape the cold.
“A third dose will give very good protection I believe,” Bourla said. He also said that treatments such as Pfizer’s oral antiviral pill, Paxlovid, will help prevent hospitalizations and control Covid during the winter.

Weird, I know two octogenarians and a women in her late-50s with cancer of the lymph nodes and - apparently - no immune system, all three contracted Covid and whilst the symptoms were unpleasant all lived to tell the tale.
Also, it's incredibly selfish behaviour on your part. I cannot fathom having so little respect or love for my grandchildren as to willingly contribute to a worsening of the world in which they live, in the knowledge that they will outlive me by decades and that after my death they will live in a world incomparably poorer in wealth and living standards than that into which I was born. But, you're obviously different.

My hubbie is 70 and got covid...and thanks to the vaccine, stayed out of hospital. I got covid and thanks to the vaccine had no symptoms and helped to nurse my hubbie.
( my grandchildren are very pleased we are still with them).
There are people on here who have had relatives die.
There are people on here left chronically ill after Covid.
So please do not come on here with your conspiracy theories..

I get the principle totally but actually disagree. Think it’s a dangerous precedent.
It's extreme, but may be a contribution of say, 25% from the unvaccinated would run

I have no answers but also think its a dangerous road to head down. I know Johnson mentioned having such conversations in the future, stalling these and seeing the repurcusions in other countries will be the best course of action.
We could make prisoners pay for their own cells
