Oslo, for the love of God!!

There was some expert on these things on TV this morning and he categorically stated that they have definitively ruled out any link to the vaccine in the cases you refer to.

This is like discovering that 3 people out of million were hit by a bus after having their jabs and linking it to the vaccine.

Who knows whether any other side effects will emerge over time (I'm certainly experiencing some), but you can stop worrying about this blood clot myth.

I'm sure you won't though, so I'll give up on this particular subject.
Unfortunately, people are refusing the jab because of this scare story, both here and more so in Europe, where a third wave is beginning to sweep across countries.

Utterly tragic and avoidable.

2 teams of experts from different hospitals at opposite ends of Norway established a link between the immune response and the AZ vaccine, maybe too late for the EMA meeting, but I really doubt they made it up!

Norwegian media today quoted the Daily Telegragh reporting similar cases in the UK, they have a paywall so I havent read that, maybe you can if you want. Another 2 similar cases are reported in Denmark today, 1 died. I'd have thought people would want to know information about serious side effects rather than burying their heads in the sand. There are other vaccines! But what do I know.

My last on this.
Unfortunately, people going on social media, spreading this nonesense as you are, is going to potentially cost lives.
The idiot doctors, officials and politicians share the responsibility too.

Oslo , I don't think that people aren't interested, because believe me we are. It's just the cases of problems are minute to the benefits. I heard a doctor yesterday saying people die from paracetamol but it doesn't stop us using them? compare the deaths from covid to these cases.

I don’t think anyone’s denying that, based on the little we all know, but it’s a bit crass of random morons in the Home Counties to write off the research and analysis of genuine experts just because they’re from elsewhere. Everyone involved is having to learn about and debate this far more quickly than they normally would and if Norway’s equivalent of Whitty or Vallance says something it’s probably worth listening to. It doesn’t mean anyone here has to act on it.

You clearly have a different definition option of "nonsense" than me.

Oslo, just wondering, if the cases involve young, previously healthy females, is there any suggestion that they may be linked to Birth control medication? Has that been discussed in the Norwegian media?

I see yet again seem to have a problem with this country. You could always move away if you don’t like it.
WHO EMA MHRA and countless experts have said the vaccine is safe.
Fact is more people have died of blood clots when they got Covid. More people are getting blood clots when sick with Covid then those who supposedly died because of the vaccine.
If you don’t want the vaccine give it to someone who wants it.

Yeah, again, we’re largely agreeing here so no need to be such a tart. It’s a conversation.

It’s a scientific debate and chances are there’s a lot more to it than either of us know. If it’s reported responsibly there’s no reason why it has to dissuade people who urgently need a vaccination from having one. I doubt Norway, Iceland etc. are full of evil geniuses intent on causing anyone harm.

I presume that's aimed at me.
Brain aneurysms run in my family, so I have looked into these claims closely.
There is no link.
It's all coincidence and as Fingy says, possibly linked to birth control pills.

This scare mongering is going to cost lives as a third wave hits Europe.

Great. Thanks for doing the research.

That's not the point.

It's already clear that social media rumours about this are stopping people taking the vaccine.
It's these people on social media that need to get a grip, as well as the medics etc who believe that there should be zero risk, when that's impossible.

What amazes me is people bringing up a few unfounded cases to support their argument but never mention the amount of blood clot cases that people have had once they get Covid?

Not that I have seen, no. I've also read not all patients with these symptoms in Europe are female, and one person was 60.

what did the experts conclude about the 33 deaths of elderly Norwegians after their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine?
