You’ll have to ask them why they made a decision on the basis of no evidence. As far as I know they ok’d the dosing schedule for the AZ vaccine, not so sure about the Pfizer one, that might have just been the government and it’s advisers.Ok so I get that the MHRA is funded partly by government for some of its work but it's medicines regulation is funded through fees from the pharmaceutical industry.....so I don't see where there's government interference in this decision as it was made by the MHRA working group after reviewing data.......
The MHRA is a quango, an arms length agent of the government, its chairman is appointed by the Secretary of State for Health, currently Matt Handcock.
