"Spain is to record the names of people vaccinated and those who refuse and give them to EU bods"
I can see both sides of the argument here:
What if you have the virus but it lies undetected and you go travelling around the world - potentially you are a superspreader, but then to counter that argument why don't you ban them from travelling? However how do you manage it locally - for example, I could be going down to the shops to buy milk, stand next to someone who doesn't want to be vaccinated and come home and spread it there.
What ever you do, someone is going to be unhappy

Well you have to doff your hats to the idiocy of our health authority over here......

The roll out of vaccinations started this morning with the most vulnerable in 4 hospitals receiving the jab, but it has also emerged that they will only be doing the jabs Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, doing a 39 hour week which means after taking into account lunch and other breaks only 6.75 hours will be available per day for the jabs. This is despite GP's and other health professionals volunteering to work evenings and weekends to get the vaccination programme speeded up.......

Apparently they will only work in accordance with the Working Time Arrangements agreement........

You couldn't make it up......

Tier 4 restrictions here being largely ignored.
Our (quite big) village has been much busier than any normal Saturday or Sunday or other non work days.
We are getting the pandemic we deserve.

Same here, I haven't seen so many people out while walking the dog.

This isn't good, if this is correct then surely we should be going into full lockdown again. The tiers do not work.

More people being treated in hospital with covid than the previous peak in April.
Not sure people around my way are aware of this.

Never thought they would work to be honest. Just wait til the schools go back and watch the infection rates fly high. At some point common sense amongst people and the decision makers must prevail.

What do you think should happen mate?

We will be, sweetened with approval for the AZ vaccine I hope. Not sure how the death rate is tracking against the hospitalisations, still lagging behind a bit, if we are lucky it won’t get up to the 1000 plus a day of April.

If they say all into tier 4, or an even stronger lockdown, but not until the weekend, and please don’t go mad on New Years Eve, we will know, as if we didn’t already, that they are cowards and scared to do things they think will be unpopular or unenforceable.

The usual suspects are desperate to deflect blame from the government and onto the general public.

Very good.

Being serious for a moment, we’ve got record high case numbers and doctors are begging people to adhere to the rules. Surely this is exactly the time Johnson and Hancock should be on stage daily reinforcing that message and doing all the other briefing stuff.

When do people start to take responsibility for their own actions
If people are asked to stay in and avoid unnecessary contact but don't is it really the government's fault
People still try to breach the quarantine rules here
I don't blame the labour government
I blame the selfish ****s who risk all our lives and should be sent to prison
Would certainly send a message to the next ****wit who couldn't stay in a hotel for fourteen days

Test track and trace (world-beating). Back to work, back to university, back to school. Eat out to help out.

But a few people go out for a ****ing walk and they're to blame!
