excess deaths was invented by the bbc because too many people were realising the data showed nothing out of the ordinary, the figures then mysteriously started to rise and the term excess deaths was coined, there is an argument they were caused by non treatment of non covid patients

Now that’s just false.
 
the overall data shows no excess deaths, the numbers are that of a completely normal year, slightly above average, nobody would have noticed a thing if there was no media

its was all nonsense, its called a psyop, china has been back to normal for 6 months because they are already under totalitarian control, there was no need to keep up the charade there

Test results are certainly a weak measure compared to hospitalisations. But they do give a directional sense of what’s happening. If numbers per 100,000 based on tests were going up but hospitalisations were not you would have to assume either that the tests were wrong or that the virus was weakening. Sadly the non government app, which now has 4.5m contributors, is going in the same direction. It too has drawbacks but when you get multiple sources saying the same thing - the ONS does too - I think it’s safe to make some assumptions.

We had ‘covid free’ hospitals round my way back in April.

From national statistics

With more than 71,000 excess deaths in England and Wales since the Covid-19 pandemic began, the death statistics for this year are truly sobering. If current trends continue, the total excess death toll for 2020 could exceed 80,000, very likely leading to a significant fall in life expectancy in 2020.

As I said, I don't doubt that the problem has been getting worse in recent weeks, I'd just like to see judgments based on more meaningful statistics than positive cases per 100,000 of population (which may or may not include asymptomatic cases, depending on testing regimes). If the whole population got the virus, but no one needed to be hospitalised or suffered from Long Covid as a result, there wouldn't be a problem, would there?

Simon Stevens, who really should have resigned/retired some time go, is going to promise that everyone over the age of 50 will be offered a coronavirus vaccine by ‘late spring’.

It’s now a thing, apparently, in government circles to refer to time in terms of the seasons, rather like medieval chroniclers, when precise time keeping didn’t matter. Of course it has the huge advantage of being imprecise, giving them loads of leeway. When the **** is ‘late spring’? End of March? Beginning of May? Perhaps, to be rather more accurate, they could start referring to religious festivals - you’ll get your covid payments by Michaelmas......you’ll have to wait until summer solstice before an ITU bed is available.....

Oh crap it has started. Spain is to record the names of people vaccinated and those who refuse and give them to EU bods.
How long will it be before discrimination? How long will it be before the Oxford vaccine isn’t recognised over Pfizer?
