Well, I would have said that the point of Watford's post was the response to Burnham, rather than Burnham's original post.

Wouldn't you?
I was referring directly to AB's post, not the ridiculous response also quoted in Watford's post
My view on AB remains - given the near 3 months I've been working in Manchester - that he needs to do more locally to combat the virus
At least he hasn't had to step down after (allegedly) being caught with his hands in the till like his Scouser compatriot

'Hands in the till'? What are you referring to?

Did you read the NY Times article? The whole of your government, and their pals, seem to have done rather well out of this crisis.

The Liverpool mayor....cash for planning....

So you assume that just because I don't like AB I voted for Johnson?

Lazy and incorrect assumption

There you go again, missing the point. How is Burnham alleged to have had his hand in the till?

Pretty much everything you post on the non-football threads pegs you as a Tory. Am I wrong?

Sorry to have to disappoint you on both counts Stroller

I was referring to the Liverpool mayor and not AB as regards alleged hands in the till. I may not like AB but certainly no suggestion of impropriety on his part

I'm apolitical in terms of party politics and don't support any particular party, unlike many posters on this thread who display very dogmatic political stances. I form views on issues individually and no party has ever aligned sufficiently

If you say so. Everything you post suggests otherwise.

How's Dido?

A fab JOE video doing rounds about Christmas lockdown to the tune of Band Aid. They keep taking it down.

To save time, the response of “but it’s just as bad/worse in country X or Y or Z” or “they are bad so how dare they criticise us” or along those lines, is simply a diversionary tactic, it is not an actual defence or justification of the behaviour of these scum*.

* in my opinion.

Agreed. Does that mean we are now allowed to compare how well or poorly countries around the world have handled their response to the virus?

Are you now or have you ever been.......
Not quite sure what your obsession is with me Stroller. Presumably you will be demanding that all posters declare their political allegiances before giving any opinions on here? I had thought that the Stasi had died with the demise of East Germany

I also had the temerity to criticise Warburton (a lot) so presumably you are now doubting my credentials as a QPR supporter and what to out me as being a fan of anyone but QPR? In fact I've actually said I wanted Warburton out - I've not said that about Andy Burnham

I stated my position in my post above. I don't post on here much now simply because some posters seem unable to accept that others may hold views other than their own

Even though I don't have any particular political affiliation I am proud to live in a multi party democratic country where free speech and voicing of individual opinions is both allowed and encouraged. Sometimes those views are even respected even if they aren't the view of all

This doesn't mark me down as a flag waving nationalist either - I felt the same when I lived and worked in (for example) Germany and Poland

And just to confuse you further my favourite politician......Frank Field
