Starmer is the problem for them. They've got to find a way of pretending that they're not doing what he called for a few weeks ago.
Starmer is the last person they are worried about or care about for that. Mr Wooden is lying low for a bit so I hear.

Private prayer will continue in places of worship.......for me praying we don't concede anymore stupid penalty's this season.
Bottom line is virus is going to be round for a long time to come.
There appears to be those that abide by the rules to try to prevent the spread of the virus, whether this is age, health or just common sense approach.
There are those places - ie the Hashish bar(probably spelt wrong) that lets in 150 and gets closed down after first offence was a fine. There are the youngsters that are having their freedoms restricted (well we all are by these days the snow flakes are the ones that suffer most) that carry on regardless. There are also the others that should know better but don't care about others.
For me, I have health issues, look after my parents and have a partner who has struggled a lot this year. I have friends who have seen their business mothballed for months on end. I know two people who have passed away, and a friend who is still struggling after catching this in Feb / March time.
I was hoping that there would be developments in finding cure for the virus. We do not hear about China and Wuhan anymore - either the place is locked down, it is now a ghost town or there is life with a track / trace system that works or a cure.
Whatever happens - all I want to say is that I hope he supports people that need support
And that you all, and your friends and families att stay safe and well.

Good post mate.
There's no doubt that the public have to accept a fair bit of the blame for this latest wave.
Stay safe all.

Nothing wrong with a bit of strictly to lighten the mood.
Precisely. We need more of that kind of stuff, and I genuinely think that if it is disrupted that will be a negative.

Some epidemiologist* from Oxford on the BBC news as we wait for Johnson. She hasn’t given a single scientific, evidence based comment so far, purely personal opinion. No challenge to her at all.

* Prof Sunetra Gupta, the enemy of the Imperial College epidemiologists.

These slides crystal clear for everyone?

Good.

Shame the slides aren’t formatted to fit my TV screen, but the explanation from Whitty and Vallance is so brilliant it doesn’t really matter.

Apologies for my cynicism but this is appalling communications and it’s winding me up. Thank god for wine.

Just had this discussion with the wife - what the **** does it all mean? Could they get some people with duller voices to talk about them?

I've not watched the news for nearly seven months now, and this is the first briefing I've watched since Lockdown MkI - doesn't look like I've missed much.

Amazingly it’s getting worse. No one with any communications expertise has been anywhere near this. Meaningless to the vast majority of the population.

Exactly the same conversation here mate.
