I'd speak to your doctor, Peter, to see if he can't push this forward as a matter of urgency. Make a fuss, you're an important patient. Good luck

I'd echo this - recent experiences with healthcare (NHS and private) suggest that sometimes dealing firmly with the organisation concerned gets results

Best of luck Peter - I know that any wait for care can be worrying

I've been waiting 6 weeks to see my Radiologist about starting my radiology had an appointment arranged for Monday, just received an email telling me it's now a telephone consultation, they told me face to face my prostate cancer had worsened why cant they face me to tell me how we put it right :headbang:

All the best with this Peter

Peter, best wishes..but as I said before.
Please keep pressing and asking and pestering...it is the people who hassle that the NHS will pay most attention too.

Sad but true.

Best wishes

Just had another Covid test in advance of my appointment on Monday. They really are quite unpleasant.

They're not confident of a quick turnaround either, allowing themselves 4 days to get the results back.

I assume that they don’t work weekends. The reported stats show us that people don’t die or get infected over weekends.

Just read that some genius is proposing that all students go into isolation before returning home for Christmas and then isolate at home before going back to university. Why not get them tested if it’s that important, no way will there be compliance with this kind of ****. Could be that all pretence of government control collapses by then as guidance on the number of people who can have dinner etc is routinely ignored.

Today they say the reverse of yesterday, a vaccine (not the Oxford one) will be available soon.

We’ll see.

Blimey Stroller I have seen them on tv and they don't look very nice. I hope I never have to have one.

I can't see the rules being followed at Christmas either. I won't be abiding by them.

The obvious thing to do would be to have the circuit-breaker to buy some time and then relax the rules over the festive period.

I told you all this months ago...and explained why. ( But I am like Cassandra on this thread)
I have been taking Vit D for months too.
You can still get them in Tescos

Isn't this part of the reason that BAME people are disproportionately affected?

Do you know Kate Bingham, Beth? Saw her on TV yesterday and thought she was very impressive.

Nag your GP every day till you get what you want.
Scandalous state of affairs.
All the best.

Hi Stroller. It is thought to be a factor in why BAME people are so badly affected. Their skin colour decreases their own Vit D production .
But

Vit D production also decreases in winter when there is less sun.

No I do not know Kate Bingham...Stan might do, more in his field than mine

Vitamin D is one thing that I won't be short of.
Your an outdoor lad I know. Col, so probably not....however about 1 in 5 people in UK are seriously deficient in vitamin D and that rises quite a bit during the winter months.

As said I take vitamin D supplements every day
