Hope it's not pal, as it's a long haul. The missus has said at times that she's felt as if she's dying. Our GP has been excellent, and has multiple patients displaying symptoms.

As a pre-emptive measure, she's told me to tell you to start taking some vitamins - D, B12, feratin and folate. Also Co-Enzyme Q-10.

Any idea what they are checking your bloods for? The missus has had them done three or four times, each one looking for something different (thyroid, menopause, vitamin deficiency, clotting etc) - and she's definately iron deficient which the GP has indicated is very common in Long-Covid patients.

Given that my bowel cancer test has shown up something that they don't like, I kind of hope the fatigue is down to Long Covid.

I'll check out the vitamins, thanks.

I’ll go with Beth’s analysis. Good luck mate.

They reckon only one in ten negative (or is it positive?) tests turns out to actually be cancer, so the odds are good, but it does make the fatigue thing more worrying.

I have a video call with a consultant on Monday, with most probably a colonoscopy to follow, which sounds like fun.

Horrible news, I've had a similar scare albeit nearly 40 years ago, I can imagine how you must feel and really hope this is nothing more than Beth suggests. Keep positive and all the best mate...

Hope it turns out to be nothing strollers
Hopefully it turns out that you are turning into an old lazy hypochondriac and you don't have BC or LC
I saw a headline that zinc is good for fighting off covid
Didn't read the story so don't know if it's for keeping it away or helps if you have it
Can't hurt to keep the levels up

Item on news this evening saying those contacted via T&T app advised to self-isolate cannot claim the £500 payment. There was supposed to be a button to press for the claim but it isn't there. Only those who are told by other means to isolate can claim. You truly couldn't make it up...

I’m sure it’s been a worrying time Strolls, keep your head up and try to keep positive until you get through to a satisfactory outcome ... a healthy trip to HQ for a live match (and win). Get those vitamins down ya in the meantime. Best of luck ‘fellow hoop’ :emoticon-0105-wink: .

For those of you who have downloaded the official best in class COVID 19 app and do your duty by scanning it every time you go to the pub, don’t bother. The Test and Trace organisation isn’t bothering to look at the data collected. 568 businesses, covering 12,500 venues and 250 million customer visits since the app was launched have been informed of a grand total of.......104 cases so far. Wetherspoons alone has got 16.7 million customer visits, with data, logged in its 850 “pubs”, but has had 35 requests for tracing information so far. In one pub, where 4 members of staff had been infected, the local health authorities issued a press release to ask patrons to watch out for symptoms, but didn’t bother to actively trace them through the app.

What a farce. Apparently there never was a system in place to use this data, it’s all just PR fluff, the giant QR codes at entrances are meaningless, designed to give the impression that purposeful action is being taken, when it isn’t. Not the pubs fault I should stress.

Still, this is what you get when you only give your mates £12bn to build something they don’t actually understand. And it’s still much better value than giving a poor kid a hot meal when they are not in school, isn’t it?

Who said ‘lower than vermin’?

Keep up Sb I posted that 2 weeks ago. Apparently back then only 12... Yes 12 people out of 1m were contacted. The strange thing is pubs get fined for not having those QR code things up.

Apparently performance has deteriorated over the last couple of weeks then.

The people being paid large amounts of borrowed money that the taxpayer will ultimately have to stump up for, plus interest, have obviously learned from their mistakes, and can repeat them perfectly.

Do you attribute this fiasco to incompetence, corruption, a mixture of the two or something else?

I'm betting you'll be fine, Strolls. I think you have Long Covid, which is really draining and understated generally by anyone that hasn't had it. All the best going forward.
