**** me mate.
You're often aggressive/angry/confrontational in your posts.
I'm not angry, I just thought it was pretty obvious why someone would feel vulnerable.

Anyway, whatever.

Im not denying that I’m often all 3 of the things you mention....as are you.
And once again, to me it wasn’t ‘pretty obvious’, and that’s why I asked. ‘Concerned’, ‘worried’ or ‘scared’ I can understand (but not agree with)....but vulnerable I just don’t get.

Anyway, as you say.....whatever

Pandemics through history:
estimated percentage of global population killed

and had we had todays medicines and treatments throughout history covid would be much higher up the table

Might me a silly question Tram, but what made you feel vulnerable?

Sorry stainsey just catching up......

Probably an age thing but there seemed to be a lack of awareness about social distancing, no one way system in shops so everyone milling around, no real respect for others in the area peeps just standing in the middle of aisles.....almost all were wearing masks but it just felt uncomfortable......

Mrs TR and I have been out to restaurants and felt perfectly safe, all covid protocols observed and genuinely a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.......but in the shops not good......

So, Aussie scientists have studied the virus and tell us that it can survive on glass and metal (ie phones) for 28 days. and it’s ‘robust’ (no definition provided) *

Other scientists tell us that it’s really difficult to catch from surfaces.

No scientists seem able to tell us something useful, like whether masks actually slow the spread of the virus, or whether having antibodies protects you from catching it again. Or who is most at risk from long COVID. Come on scientists, get your ****ing act together!

* in the cleverly put together BBC story, you have to read to the end to be told that the experiments were done in the dark, because UV light (contained in sunlight) does destroy the virus. FOR ****’S SAKE.

This has been the case from day one.
Who the **** is right?

**** knows mate. I am pretty sure that face masks have actually done nothing to ease the spread. ****ing waste of time

Mmm, now you see, I think they probably have.
I know they won't protect from a huge cough directly into your face, but I do believe they may protect against a smaller, floating load of virus (maybe).

I don’t know either way. Common sense would say that they should. But we’ve been wearing them for a couple of months, and they have been much more strictly in Spain and France, and infections are going through the roof.

But a decent, peer reviewed, scientific study could take this beyond opinion.

Ah ok, makes sense why you feel like you do ( although I might not agree with you). Try not to let this rule your life mate, there are many more things that will probably get you first before COVID.
