It's funny that as a close friend of ours has suddenly started spouting the same stuff. She has gone from one end of the scale to the other.

Too much time on their hands during lockdown - they all need to be locked up!

Last few sites that I've been working on we have had big beefy private security personel to protect us due to the attacks on engineers by these mongs who are anti-5G. I can't wait til they have a go at me so I can chase them down the street with a big hammer and my podger spanner!

And all those who moaned about them being blacklisted a couple of weeks ago are getting their answer. France, Portugal, Italy and Greece all on a big spike...

More cases or more testing? Deaths and hospitalisations have not shown the same spike, so either they are finding positives that would previously have gone unnoticed or the virus is losing its potency.

The CDC has published an update that acknowledges “Covid-19 was the only cause mentioned” in 6 per cent of total coronavirus deaths.

“For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned,” states the CDC on its website.

“For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death.”

The issue was the subject of a controversy after Twitter deleted a tweet retweeted by President Trump which said that the CDC had “quietly” updated its numbers “to admit that only 6%” of people listed as coronavirus deaths “actually died from Covid,” since “the other 94% had 2-3 other serious illnesses.”

Despite the language of the tweet being essentially true, the tweet was deleted anyway and CNN subsequently published an article labeling the tweet as a “QAnon supporter’s false claim.”

Journalist Tim Pool pointed out that far from debunking the “false claim,” CNN had actually validated it.

While COVID undoubtedly killed many of victims who had other serious illnesses, critics have argued that many of these people would have died within a short time frame anyway and that the official coronavirus death toll should be counted differently to account for this.

As we previously highlighted, polls show that Americans believe coronavirus to have been far deadlier than it actually was, suggesting huge numbers of people are misinformed.

The survey found that Americans believed over 30 million people had died in the U.S. from COVID, 225 times higher than the actual figure, which currently stands at 183,000.

I believe like Cologne said it’s probably the latter.

Spot on. The media was flooded With ant-government stuff. People moaning about their holidays and having to quarantine.... but the government was spot on. What do you hear now?

If the virus has lost its ability to kill, what's to worry about?

Probably a bit of both but I think more refined treatments are making a difference, widely agreed now that ventilators probably caused more deaths than lives saved in peak months...

'Protect the NHS' - a policy choice by your government - has caused, and will continue to result in, many thousands of unnecessary deaths.
<doh> Really? If they hadn’t protected the NHS and things went very wrong you would have been the first to bitch about it. They will never win with you. Taking Spain and France off the list was a good call. Get over it fella.

Strolls makes a very good and fair point, Ellers. For example people were not calling for emergencies that really that should of....and if they did many were refusing conveyance to hospital because of the possibility of catching COVID..
Now of course the government can’t be blamed for that, however it’s a fact that many cancers have been missed due to cancelled appointments (my own appointment was cancelled and put back by months), this along with other ‘routine’ appointments did and will lead to needless deaths, so the NHS could be protected.
This isn’t about point scoring, it’s about working out where this all went wrong.

My theory, and it is only my personal opinion, is that most of those who would die of the virus are now dead......
