I don’t know why the ONS figures aren’t integrated into the daily updates every week. Sure they are out of date but they are doubtless more accurate than the hand collected ones used by the government. And they are publicly available, from a government organisation, so they can’t be denied or avoided.
Perhaps these people are much cleverer than I give them credit for, and much more malign than I’d like to believe. They know that most people won’t care about the few things that are objective and that they can manipulate, or simply ignore and suppress, numbers that don’t suit them. The ‘scientific advisors’ who collude in this farce should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
The ONS numbers would be "really interesting" if they were published in cause of death numbers. I know all the talk is covid but the interesting stuff for me would be how many had strokes and heart attacks but didnt want go to hospital.
62,000 above average since the start of March and we know they are not all covid so what else has been spiking.
They are probably available somewhere but I guess the figures get skewed by more than one cause????
