Correct me if I'm wrong but were there more deaths today as compared to the same day last week?
Probably a lag from the bank holiday (hopefully just that anyway) but yeah.

It maybe that they just had quite a few death certificates arriving at that time. The figures are not just from the day before.Probably a lag from the bank holiday (hopefully just that anyway) but yeah.
Judging by the measures and steps taken, one can only presume that the herd immunity plan has always been the plan.Announce plans on further easing of lockdown 3 days before implementing them in the knowledge that the period covers a scorching hot weekend. Same with the first easing measures. It's hard not to feel like we are back to the herd immunity plan, not that immunity has even been proven to exist for this virus.
Furlough will be a success if the jobs it is designed to protect still exist in a few months. Too soon to judge.
Dont think anyone clapped on our street. I find it all a bit tedious and patronising. Would be better if everyone gave a quid each week towards a pay rise for them. Everyone except the Tories of course.

I dread to think of the horror if the second spike happens in the autumn/winter. Not that a another peak at any time is desirable.I think its acknowledged there will be a second spike. It is whether it can be managed/contained whilst carrying on back to some semblance of normality that is the issue.
Greece has decided not to allow UK holidayers in when things resume on June 15th (due to our poor covid record)... mmm. let's see how long that lasts? The Brits will go elsewhere and spend their money.

Shame because Greece relies heavily on tourism. I don't want to see any country struggle but I think they are shooting themselves in the foot here?****ing foreigners.....who do they think they are, eh ?

Jokes aside my sister works in travel and she told me the extent of what has happened in her industry. They'll even pay for you...

Really bad and a lot of countries are now giving away flights/accommodation just to stay afloat. Those cruises are well and truly F22ked.
