Exactly the point I was making earlier. As you do not know who that was, you cannot judge.

But don't worry...the system only works if the person tells the tracer your contact details. If they do not know your name etc they cannot tell the tracers, so the motto is

DON'T TELL THEM YOUR NAME PIKE! (doh)
Sounds world beating does that

So they have now added to the instructions "and if you have been near people under a meter away for less time". They must have heard me shouting that their criteria was stupid.

However they have just had someone on TV, who I believe is one of the track and trace operatives, saying when the trace you their job is to phone you up and tell you that you have been in contact with a positive patient and then they say give us your email and we will send you a form to download....
..........and zaboom then your computer (could) then be hacked with malaware. A hackers perfect sceanario

Have they thought this through?

.............................or was it rushed through to take the heat of Cummings

They have been talking about this for weeks. Boris mentioned it in the House before Cummings story broke? I don’t get the connection although some might?

Of course they haven't thought it through, it's part of the 'too little too late ****show'

The connection is the system is not ready, and probably not fit for purpose yet as said this morning by Dido Harding, the chair of NHS track and trace, who said local government and the teams of experienced contact tracers would not be fully linked to the system until the end of June.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...gland-not-fully-operational-until-end-of-june

The phone app is not available yet.
The contract tracers were alerted at 10.00pm last night
The site crashed this morning when they all logged on.
The head of the services says it is not ready yet

It sounds to me like a rush job...what do you think

I am one of the most scientifically compliant people I know.
Would you like to do a medical trial...squirt the liquid in my eyes PLEASE
BUT
I will not be giving my email to a man who phones me up and asks for it....because he has been told I have been in contact with someone who has Covid, but will not tell me who that is.

Would you?

I’d be wary if they ask for your sort code.

I think that whatever they do they will be criticised even when they get things right. I keep referring to Lord Hesletine’s comments who has being correct in my opinion ( and I’m no fan). “Damned if they do and damned if they don’t.”

I’ll be interested to test this theory once they’ve got something right.

So nightingale/furlough/lockdown wasn’t right?

A white elephant with no resources to back it up/inevitable and slow for some recipients/forced into it eventually and far too late. I didn’t realise they were meant to be praised for the absolute basics.

Football back on the 17th June, well PL anyway. Assume the Championship will follow suite? What we need is a good old push for the play offs to unite us all again.

Lockdown a positive? Wow, 2 weeks too late and then slowly and badly implemented over a few days, lifted too early and now with added terrible and confused messaging.
Furlough does seem to have been a success though, I've been lucky enough to carry on working so not experienced it but it looked like it was implemented fairly swiftly for most. I think we are seeing the negatives of furlough now though with so many people seemingly thinking they are on holiday, beaches aren't normally jam packed in early May for example.

So if a creepy tracer tracks you down and asks you to self isolate because you have been, allegedly, in contact with an anonymous carrier, and tells you you can’t have a test, there is good news.

Other members of your household don’t have to self isolate unless they show symptoms.

Go figure.

Lots of jokes about naming Cummings as someone you have been in contact with. Lots of potential for malicious playing around with this system. ‘Sorry Ms Tracer, I think someone has named me as a bad joke, so I won’t be following your advice’.

This disease was here long before the lockdown and i bet the anti-body test will prove this. Fella in France had it in November ( they have his blood sample). All the dates were too late thanks to China and their coverup.
