Yes they should, but again the press and labour all calling for Cummings to be sacked said naff all about the labour ministers and medical officers who broke the rules , which is my point, and why I don’t think Cummings should go, purely for that reason maybe rather than the fact as a parent he was trying to sort out childcare for his autistic son, you cannot have the gutter press dictating who should go and who should stay based purely on their political views rather than on the truth, which is all the press and mainstream media should report, too many people are influenced by the mainstream media and their witch hunts to see the bigger picture, they are being played, several on here are being played like a fiddle and like the Fools or simpletons they are, they join in like baying hounds because it’s all they know.
There are few on here who’s opinion I respect, there are also some on here that are so dumb it defies belief, they follow the herd because again, it’s all they know and they cannot think for themselves, if I upset folk so be it, if I offend the simpletons so be it, some on here try to play one against the other and they stir the pot thinking their being clever ( their not, I can see straight through them ) some make snide remarks trying to be clever, they fall into the dumb section.
If folk don’t like my stance it’s simple, block me I don’t care, if people are willing to accept what I believe without resorting to being a fool who posts disparaging remarks no problem but I don’t suffer fools or buffoons easy and I don’t have to take snide remarks or attempts to belittle me either, it’s a two way street, if you want to take the piss feel free, but don’t get shirty if I react back it’s that simple.
I have my view on things, people have theirs, but I am not a sheeple, I will not change my view or belief simply to fit in unlike some poor fools on here, to become part of the “in crowd”, it isn’t me, and I won’t change, just as I accept and expect them not to.

It’s funny how everyone else on here can be easily led apart from you (and I expect everyone who agrees with you).
You are not a sheeple because you are too deeply entrenched in your opinions to ever see, respect or understand anyone else’s. Boris and his cronies can do no wrong in your eyes and you hate anybody who says anything against them.
There are always two sides to every argument and you need to view both with an open mind to come to sensible conclusions.

We’ve moved above Italy for deaths per million. Congratulations to all involved and good luck to Hancock and Johnson as they lead us in hunting down Spain.

l can’t understand how they keep letting planes fly in?
To me, they & cruise ships are the main source of transportation of this virus.
Why the do they make the people of Great Britain restrict their daily lives when they refuse to stop those coming in?
One of the first things Australia & New Zealand did was to stop the incoming flights, ( excluding the Ruby Princess fiasco ) thus restricting Influx of positive cases.
I’m sorry, l don’t quite get it.

I have cooled down a bit.
There are 3 things that worry me this morning. I think all three are in fact more pertinant than the drive to Durham

1. Cummings admits to leaving Downing Street to look after his wife, but then going back afterwards because he feels OK (it is the next day he wakes up with a headache). THIS IS WRONG
2. Cummings says he was surrounded by people testing positive for CoVid, but Government advisors could not get a test, only ministers at that time. THIS IS SCANDALOUS...why hasn't it been asked why this happened?
3. The whole story about the trip to Barnards castle. He says as he got worse, his wife Mary got better. Implying that by the time they went to Barnards Castle when he was better, but wanted to test his eyesight. She was OK. It is documented in her articles in the Spectator that she can drive. Why didn't she drive. IS THAT BECAUSE THE BARNARDS CASTLE STORY IS A LIE.

Yesterday Brighton beach was crammed. The BBC interviewed some of the beach people and asked why are you here...
Everyone they asked (or at least chose to show) said...if Cummings can do it/one rule for the powerful another for the rest...etc
I am not stupid enough to think that they were not just saying that for the cameras...but if the powers that be had kept to the rules...the sunbathers would not have had the excuse

You only get one chance at this trust lark and the government have blown it. Pray to your God that there is not a second wave

I appreciate and understand that totally, but In my defence if people are going to assume things about me and what I believe and expect me to take it without batting an eyelid are severely wrong, some of the comments I accept as banter, others however, underhandedly but without great guise and thought attempt to belittle not just my comments but others, I will not be called a right wing racist, or a Muslim hater I am neither, my granddaughters ( 5 ) are all Muslims, I will not have it said I’m a Tommy Robinson follower, I am not and if certain cretins on here wish to abuse my political beliefs and my support I will fight back, the pen is mightier than the sword, and in my whole life I have not been afraid to use both figuratively speaking of course as I have never actually used a sword before some body on here accuses me of running amok with a claymore etc.
I will take criticism however I will not take abuse lightly and will return in kind.

Calls me a Fraggle, then puts me on ignore cos I called him a doozer back.

Oh no I understand everyone’s opinions and I didn’t say “everyone on here “ is easily led I said some, I don’t follow Boris blindly, I have criticisms, but in my opinion he is doing the best he can, following scientific advise and basing his reactions upon that, this pandemic is something only a few living souls have seen before when they were children, the governments of this world are all doing what they think is right and until the pandemic is over and the final figures so to speak are in, then and only then will we know who was right and who if any were wrong, re a post I put up earlier, many on here called Boris a bumbling fool for having a partial lockdown so the rich could remain rich at the poors expense,( again normal left wing rhetoric ). I accept that then there were others that said a lockdown was wrong we should follow Sweden and their plan, how many will now admit they got that wrong as it turns out Sweden’s infection rate is now the worst in Europe and how many will admit that going somewhere in the middle between total and no lockdown to try assist the economy was maybe a good idea, as I said we will only find out when the dust has settled.
I appreciate your input, thank you :)

My money, knowing the Biased Bollocks Corporation who heavily backed remain would do everything in their power to discredit The governments chief advisor on Brexit, would be on the “chose to show”, because I would find it hard to believe that every single person interviewed gave the same answer, again Beth it’s the mainstream media using their influence amongst the gullible ( not you of course ) amongst us to peddle their version of events and not necessarily the actual truth to further there own agenda of removing the man they hate for his stance on something totally different.

That was somewhat my point too Turkish, but it did allow the sunbathers an excuse...and yes without Cummingsgate I accept they would have had other equally valid reasons for being on the beach!!!

But what are your comments about my first three points please Turkish I would like to know

There are so many discrepancies in that fabricated story it's crazy. It was like something I wrote at primary school. I thought she wrote that he was bed ridden for 10 days yet he picked her and his kid up from the hospital. Considering she had symptoms, I presume she was tested at hospital.

On the first point in all honesty I don’t really have an opinion until more comes out.
On the second it’s rather alarming that advisors cannot get a test but certain cabinet ministers family can, surely if one is able why not the other , it’s a weird one to be honest.
On the third, do you mean that they lied or the press did, personally I think he failed to think it through and gave an answer he thought would satisfy, be it the truth or not and the press got their teeth into it and knowing the majority of them and their literal hatred of him have made a minor incident or action into a major one to once again fulfil their own agenda to remove him.
And as to the sunbathers at the beach, I’m afraid these people would not necessarily need an excuse but will jump on anything to justify their ignorance and stupidity if it became available to make them feel vindicated for their own shortcomings in reason and ability to think for themselves.

I think the timeline is becoming clearer on this Bob, looking at the timeline it seems his story may be plausible regarding his wife’s episode and his, and in all honesty I think he made a serious error of judgement, albeit to protect his children, now within the guidelines it states you can leave home to care for a vulnerable relative, and as he explained he was worried about his and his wife’s ability to care for their son if both became ill again and wanted to be near his parents for their assistance because of his child’s disability / Autism.
Now yesterday a reporter asked why didn’t he make use of a government vehicle to take his child up north, I believe his reply was he didn’t think it appropriate to do so.
Now can you see the headline if he did that,
“Government advisor Cummings abuses position to requisition government vehicle for personal use”
I personally think no matter what he did, the mainstream media would savage him, not because he was wrong or right but simply because of who he is and his stance on other things that they disagree with and would use or twist any story to discredit him.
Beth does this somewhat answer your question on point one you made.

I dont think we will ever change eithers mind on this mate. If we all left home on the basis of 'we might get ill' then the lockdown would have never existed. I've always said it was half hearted so theres a hint of hypocrisy from me here. The simplest thing would have been to try get someone to come to his house. He said he didnt want to infect anybody but was willing to drive 260 miles to infect someone, all this despite not being confirmed with covid. Surely he has access to child care in london, considering he feels incapable of looking after his own son when well. To be honest, there was never a time when one parent wasnt well enough to look after the child. It was a wasted journey really, apart from the day trip for his wife's birthday of course.

He couldn’t have happened to have been within yards of his mum (without having any contact) on her birthday if he’d done that.

The damage is done, the public don't trust the government, the sense of apathy and **** it has grown massively. This could have been avoided if Cummings had stepped down immediately, not only did that not happen he was backed by Boris, now it's too late when it could have been put to bed pretty much straight away. People can try and excuse him all they want but there was no valid reason for him to do a jolly up north and nobody with a brain believes his story about the trip to the castle. He had support much closer to home and he has potentially helped move the virus to a different area, and that comes from the man who penned the stay home slogan.

Does anyone actually believe those who are backing him would do the same under a labour government? No me either. As I've said if they had put this to bed straight away and Cummings had gone so would this situation

It all comes down to what's right and what's wrong. That's how actually simple this is. You either think it's right to lie your way out and fabricate stories or you think it's wrong to.
