True, or just unable to distinguish between the two therefore making them untrue in some circumstances, and yes your right ( oh crap I’ve agreed with a Yorkshireman <laugh><laugh> ) it’s a bloody minefield, and the mainstream media don’t help all giving out their own version of the news, all trying to sensationalise their little bit of information to trump each other in the ratings !!

They are still telling lies and I think if they admitted they got it wrong, apologised and told us exactly what's happening, without all the bluster, more people would respect them for it.

I highly doubt that any Tory will ever admit it though, as they know they'll be sacked.

After seeing the front page of the Sun today, I don't agree with much of what I said.

I can trump that. Father in law diagnosed positive after admitted to hospital after six weeks of illness - nobody tested him before then but GP felt able to say it was not Covid-19 repeatedly on the basis of telephone calls from an anxious M-in-law. When finally tested positive and asked how given that he has been at home for 7 weeks with M in law and that the only people otherwise he came into contact were two carers ad a number of paramedics - nobody could explain. More importantly they did not advise M - in law to tell the carers to self isolate for 14 days. We advised that and suggested they get themselves tested.

They did - one has not had her results at all, now 5 days, while the other was given two inconsistent results ie negative and not sure within 5 hours. She rang the gp who told her it was safe to rely on the negative result and that she was free to resume work as normal. Nobody suggested a re-test.

Father in law has picked up and they wanted to discharge him within 72 hours. Not quite sure where. My wife had to remind them that M in law and his two carers were now all in self-isolation and would remain so for at least one more week and that he was a severely handicapped wheelchair user. They reconsidered. If it wasn't so serious it would be a comedy of errors.

That's obvious to you, I and everyone else on this forum but obviously not so obvious to the GP's practice for my F in law's carer. No offer, nothing at all to explain the meaning of the results or why she got two test results in the same postal delivery although she only tested the once.

Sister in laws team have received an email regarding 2 patients returned home from hospital. Both still tested positive for covid19 on departure. The discharge note asks for a care team to go to each daily and for volunteers to shop for them. What a strange and bizarre situation.

I can’t help but think this sort of thing would make for a more informative front page during a pandemic than a puff piece about Boris Johnson’s baby or his time in hospital.

The mainstream media though.

So she is being asked (bearing in mind her 'unclear' test result) to go in and give care to someone with a positive covid19 test and the most basic PPE. All her visits have now got 'do not resuscitate' on their files also. She and all her team have decided and refused to see these confirmed patients as the risk of infecting more becomes ever increasing by doing so.

Also to add, 3 of her team have tested positive, hers and 2 others 'unclear' and the rest negative. So basically her team has just halved overnight. Like she says, "we could be the ones infecting these patients aswell as vice versa". Its all a bit of a mess really. 3 nurses visiting elderley and vulnerable people on a daily basis whom all have covid19.
 
The worrying thing for her and I suppose many is the reliability of the testing, considering 3 of the 12 came back as unclear. I asked her about the 3 positive results and she said that all were feeling fine, no signs of symptoms and were working up until they got the results.

From reading this page you have to say that the testing is very suspect, how do you know the positives are actually positive? Until there's a vaccine you just have to suspect everyone is a carrier...

He used to sit in the Lower Loft, very close to where 999s used to sit.
He is a real supporter and went fairly often

But I am told since his profile has risen he is now in South Africa Road near the directors box. I do not think it is a club thing or club decision other than that area is easier to marshall than an exposed seat in lower loft.
