It's all unfolding, starting when that guy who is our PM (cant remember who he is) didnt bother with 5 cobra meetings. It could be argued that it wasnt necessary for him to be there as Gove stated. His non appearances just highlight even further that we were not taking it seriously enough despite the numerous warnings. That ignorance has just spiralled continuously and we are now finding ourselves with the highest death rate behind the USA. Trump and Boris......who would have thought it.

When it’s time to do anything but blindly get behind the government (now is not the time) I feel this should probably be part of it. Just to reiterate though, now is definitely not the time to question our government of eugenicists and careerist spivs.

People jump to the conclusion that some question the utter shambles due to political point scoring because they are Tories. It's such a weak arguement or point to put across. We can only question the government of the day, nobody else is in power. Political blinkers are not helping matters in the slightest. The government obviously need help on this, thats plain to see. Questions need to be asked and ****ing answered so we can see why and how they constantly **** up, to enable us not to keep making mistakes going forward. Nobody wants any of this but as I see it, decisions that have been made have only contributed to our death rates hence the need for hard questioning and less of just following the daily script.

Let us know the science, let us know the people giving this advice. From herd immunity to lockdown is a dramatic turn. Allowing mass gatherings to keeping 2 metres apart is a dramatic turn. Little testing to RAMPING up testing is a dramatic turn. No contact and trace to then contact and trace 2 months later is a dramatic turn. The list goes on and on and for these reasons we as the public facing the crisis have the right to know who is giving this totally contradictory information. Just looking at the roads this morning suggests that people have had enough, they are doing their own thing, businesses are opening back up. If the government want to be taken seriously then they should act in a serious manner!

On March 19 and April 2 the Department of Health issued policy guidance to hospitals, say that to ‘protect the NHS’ all elderly patients who did not need urgent hospital treatment should be discharged to care homes. Regardless of whether they had been tested for COVID19 or even if they had been tested positive, as long as they did not need urgent hospital treatment.

Is it not some kind of criminal offence to send an infectious person into an environment containing vulnerable people?

To be fair the policy has worked, because the NHS has not collapsed and is still ‘open for business’ as long as you don’t define ‘business’ as much other than care for COVID19. Plus it’s had the added bonus of dyed in the wool Tories calling care home owners ‘greedy’ and calling for them to be nationalised. Yay.

Medical staff have bare arms so they can wash up to the elbows if need be, which I would assume they would do if they are working on a COVID ward. Would be a bit difficult changing your tunic every ten minutes if you happen to brush up against a surface

If my job and the decisions I made within my job resulted in thousands of deaths, I wonder if people would still use me? These trowels are pretty dangerous in the wrong hands!

You probably wouldn’t be blindly backed by most of your customers no matter what because you were promising to deliver another totally unrelated project.

I don’t think anyone expects perfection, Col. Just a bit of honesty and openness would be a nice start. The defence of them is embarrassing.

We are all dooomed!
 
Daily Mail (yeah I know) suggesting that relaxed lockdown rules could mean being able to see up to 10 close family members or friends, to meet for meals or help with childcare but could only come from 2 households. So unless there's already a load of you under one roof you couldn't meet this circle or family/friends together at the same time. No idea whether this is true though, it is the Daily Hate after all.

It’s an unrelenting task, scientist or politician, to be telling people what they don’t want to listen too. All different areas of society have personal challenges and personal situations. They won’t give the answers for everyone, or what everyone wants to hear.
Justifiably we will have the opportunity to look back at ‘ground zero’, decisions, missed opportunities and any good/bad decisions and correct/incorrect choices that have been made. I think we will all be learning from this terrible experience.
