A family friend who was admitted to St Thomas's Hospital about 10 days ago following a heart attack passed away this evening. Told he contracted the virus whilst in the ICU which was separate from the Covid ICU. Seems there is no hiding place in hospitals now, his wife was not allowed access at any time after he was admitted, it's bloody heartbreaking for any close relative...

No it really doesn't.Thanks lads. My daughter who lives near them spoke to a family member who said the hospital arranged a video set-up for family members to say goodbye, one relative in the USA was included. Really doesn't bear thinking about if it's one of your own...

Sorry to hear that Sooper. And agree it's bloody heartbreaking. I have a mate 40, who now has pneumonia after getting Covid 19 and in ICU.
