So they’re releasing the millions of imprisoned car tax-dodgers?

Don’t see much harm in bringing forward the release date for someone who was close to finishing a sentence even if it was for a serious crime. If someone does 14 1/2 years instead of 15 to reduce the chance of an entire prison and its staff catching this then it seems logical enough.
Watford I have no idea who they are releasing. As I said I was being sarcastic.
What is it with this site now? Seems that some can say what they want and when others say something it's 'gang up time'

Well I wasn't suggesting that hand-washing could be enforced, it's just something that we should do more often anyway and the publicity campaign will hopefully have had an impact there.

It seems to me that most of us are going to get this virus at some point this year anyway, and the lockdown is just designed to avoid us all getting it at once. The number of fatalities will be little different. Millions will have already had it and will be immune, there's no reason for them to remain in isolation, other than the fact that we can't yet identify them.

My aunt died last night. It was very much expected - she was late eighties, in a care home and suffering from dementia and other conditions. I don't know yet if she will be a Covid-19 statistic, but it doesn't really matter does it? The worst thing for me and the rest of her family is that we won't be able to go to her funeral.
Sorry to hear that Stroller.

Reactions: Stroller
I see the UK is releasing 4000 prisoners from jail? What do you think? Release all the ****'s and burglars and keep in the ones that didn't pay their car tax? You can see these causing problems at some point. No doubt the WOKE community will want equal rights. <doh>
It's going to be a ****storm. Even more reason to keep your kids off the street!

I wouldn’t worry too much Bob, if you look behind ‘The Mail’ Headline they are looking at releasing prisoners with less than 2 months to go of their sentence and it will be on a strict licence. (Obviously that might change but of course I looked a little deeper into it)
Can’t see a massive problem to be fair, if it keeps some prison officers safer (for whatever reason) then I’m up for it

Does this mean every time there is flu they will release prisoners? I would have thought the best place was to leave them inside. A lot of them don't have places to go. When they re-offend it will be the innocent that suffer while all the Woke's defend them.

Sorry for your loss Stroller......as you say, the awful thing is that lovely people like your aunt won’t be able to get the send off they so deserve. I had the same with an old mate of mine recently and it’s devastating.

I ain't having my kid anywhere near a car tax Dodger!
Sadly, Bob, I don't read the Mail. However, what I can tell you is that the government will consider releasing 'Low risk' Prisoners with less than 2 months to go on their sentence. Now I'm not an expert on what they mean by 'Low risk' ... I will leave that to others. However, there has been plenty of well-documented cases of low-risk prisoners being released and re-offending. Sometimes with worse crimes. but hey I will leave to the experts.

Sadly Staines once again you make yourself look stupid. A silly post by you. Plenty of serious crimes and high profile cases where 'low risk' prisoners were released early. stupid

And just for your info Ellers, most prisoners have some kind of early release and there are very few that will serve the whole of their sentence (accepting in the most extreme crimes). Therefore your argument that some early release prisoners will reoffend does come over as rather errrr.....‘stupid’ ?, as this would encompass 99% of released prisoners.
But if your argument keeps ‘Beryl from Blyth’ outraged...you crack on mate.
