I am wondering whether I'll get invited to have mine earlier. Our surgery were incredibly inflexible with Mrs Rangercol though. Wouldn't let her change this morning's appointment, due to work commitments. The receptionist as good as said, make that appointment or else you'll have to wait months for another AZ clinic. Obviously, they could have pointed out that she could go online and get a jab elsewhere, although I'm not sure if one can have two jabs from different locations? Anyway, she changed work arrangements and kept the appointment.
Did you book online Col? If yes you can go back with your reference number, see what’s available, cancel your original appointment and rebook. This is what my wife has just done, though she was prompted. She’s 57. I presume that they made the decision to do this too late for it to be worthwhile for me, and I have no problem with it. Despite my initial objections from what I have seen there is no advantage to getting the AZ booster earlier. The real world evidence, which is all based on the 12 week gap, shows that the protection offered is actually stronger than the trial data predicted (which was all mixed up). Might be different for the Pfizer one. It’s a bit scary having to cancel an appointment before having the earlier one though.
I booked online, but I'm quite happy to wait till my second appointment. It's good that Mrs Rangercol has had both first, as she meets lots more people than me, both with her main job in a nursery and teaching ballet classes.
Who do we believe about the herd immunity policy in the early days of the pandemic, Cummings or the government?
I believe the “we did all we could” government as it’s implausible an actual serving Prime Minister would choose to make time to write a biography of Shakespeare.
What if the government asked its advisers what percentage of people with Coronovirus died as a result of infection. What if the advisers told that Coronovirus only kills about 1-2% of the people it infected. What if the government said "That is nothing..so there is nothing to worry about". What if that actually happened......
I think Cummings is a sly as **** fox, no doubt with evidence to back up his allegations. Much too clever for the likes of Johnson. Should be interesting to watch it play out. We all know cummings is a twat and we all know johnson constantly lies.
