No waiting at the checkout. Had a nice chat with the checkout lady and we laughed about keeping hungry kids fed and how strange it all was.

PM Jacinda Ardern announces country going into lockdown for four weeks
  • - New Zealand has been lifted to alert level three and alert level four in 48 hours.
    - Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said community transmission is a possibility in New Zealand now. She said, "staying at home is essential".
    - All non-essential businesses must close in 48 hours. This includes bars, restaurants, cinemas, playgrounds. Essential services will remain open.
    - All indoor and outdoor events are banned.
    - Schools will close from tomorrow.
    - All of these measures will remain in place for about four weeks. The government will have zero tolerance for people ignoring these restrictions, and police will be used to enforce them if required.
    - The government is freezing rent increases to ease the pressure of restrictions.
    - The wage subsidy cap has been lifted to $9.1 billion.
    - There are 36 new coronavirus cases in New Zealand, bringing the total confirmed count to 102.
    - Most cases are linked to recent overseas travel, however, there are two that aren't linked to travel.
 
I personally think we’re fighting a losing battle, I’m currently sat in a motorway services on the M5 southbound, still working as I have 2 abnormal loads to escort into site ( French drivers and vehicles ), due to travel restrictions regarding ab loads we cannot move till 09-30, now I have just witnessed a lorry driver from a very well known chilled food distribution company have a p*ss not wash his hands or use the sanitizer provided and walk straight over to the self service touch screen and order his Maccy d’s breakfast without a thought or care in the world and probably no idea as to what he has done.
It appears that unfortunately you just cannot educate the stupid !!!
