It is doom and gloom, unfortunately. There’s no sugar coating of our situation.

None of us know exactly the correct number but I’m just pointing out that the 27000 is nowhere near accurate with good reasons rather than based on any sort of opinion or bias. I get why they report that figure but that’s not the same thing.

Mate this is not about you. I was enjoying our debating but once again it has been ruined. The same experts that were cr2p on the politics one, are now camped on here. This thread is not worth trying to comment on anymore, which is a shame.

Just came on here to mention, the French league has been cancelled and PSG have been awarded the title. They were 12 points clear with a game in hand, with 11 still to play. Other clubs already talking about legal action, but surely this won't be the first league to do this. Given that Liverpoo 25 points clear does this set a precedent for them being given the title? Would seem justified, but also a slightly hollow way for them to win the league. As I am sure has been discussed on here already, no easy answer.

Given the discussion on the last few pages, politicians will always be loved by some and despised by others. What they say will be read very differently depending on your opinion, and it is their jobs to try and give the impression that the country is stable, and people are safe. If Johnson went on TV looking a pile of nerves, and said that "27,000 have already died, but this was totally unexpected and there was no way we could prepare for this...there may well be a lot more casualties", people would be on here hammering him for scare-mongering and over reacting. As it is, he has probably gone a bit too far in trying to play it down, and big up how good a job he and his government have done, but I can understand why he'd want to do that. Sadly no winners in this sad situation.

I’ve enjoyed reading some of your contributions on this thread and have seen a different side to you from the Brexit/Politics debates pre-Corona.

However, I can’t just ignore some of your posts on those topics which were proper EDL. We’re all adults so no need to take any offence from something on a football forum.

What's hollow about it? Let Citeh play all their remining games to see if Liverpool even need to set foot on the pitch again this season. Citeh only have to fail to win one of these and I'll bet that happens sooner rather than later. The sooner everyone acknowledges that they are rightfully champions because of their achievement to date the sooner everyone can start to plan for next season
