Is it true that Donald told the US people to inject themselves with disinfectant or is it Fake news?

How come the Irish spell metre as meter?

Kind of sweet, him sitting at a table with a table cloth, a pile of crap and plastic cups in front of him, looks like something from the 1970s. Much more natural than people at lecterns.

Cos that's where you put the money in to pay the leccy......

Tend to keep things more low key here.....

Sorry Ellers I can vouch with my own eyes (admittedly via a TV screen) that Trump first suggested strong uv light, (scientific info:-which causes DNA breakages and which lead to cancer.... has he never heard Baz Lehrmans "wear sunscreen", from his perma-tan I suspect he uses sunbeds though). His next question was can you get a strong light inside the body?. He then moved onto disinfectant which he suggested drinking or then injecting. His advisers were just sadly shaking their heads

If we are playing morbid games on here.... we could have a sweepstake on how many people die of drinking and injecting things like bleach.
It makes you very slightly pleased we only have Matt Hancock/Dominic Raab (do you think they are beginning to look like each other, or is it just me) and Boris, who might be a bit excitable and fluffy....but he is MENSA level compared to what the Americans have

Did you hear the interview on the radio with Sarah Gilbert this morning Beth? She was very good, but it was fun hearing clinical trials for beginners on the wireless. She fears that there might not be enough virus going round for the vaccine trial to work quickly, have to extend the study overseas (in plan).

I didn't hear Sarah, but I did hear Andrew Pollard, her boss, who is also very good on BBC breakfast early this morning.

He got asked the very sensible question, so why are you putting the vaccine trialists back into the community, to catch it naturally; why not just give them Coronoa virus itself.
He explained we have no treatment yet, and people even young fit people may die. So we cannot do that, and we have no idea what dose gives you mild disease, what dose is it that kills you. They do not even know if the symptoms are dose dependant, and the effcts of an identical dose may just be down to an individuals history and/or genes.

There is so much we really don't know.

Because they have to do it this way, putting the volunteers in the community to catch (or not catch it) naturally, the results are going to take longer.

BTW, I really like Sarah Gilbert, a really sensible no frills scientist.

About mid afternoon you will see around 20/30 in the sky above my house. Fantastic birds to watch swoop down. We live near a place called Harewood House and I believe they are from the grounds there.

Now you mention Harewood House, I seem to remember Red Kites being re-introduced there.

That must have been around 20 years ago or so.
I should imagine there are a lot of breading pairs in that area now.
