We are exempt because we are not in the schengen area. Although things may change as virus spreads.

Ireland closes all schools and colleges until 29th March.
Not only that:
All indoor gatherings with more than 100 people and outdoor gatherings with more than 500 have been cancelled.....so all sports events GAA, LOI soccer race meetings etc....
People told to work from home if possible....work places to stagger staff hours if possible....
Social activities to be minimised although for the time being cafe's bars and restaurants will remain open
Museums etc will be closed.
Scary times but with taking responsibility for your own actions we can get through this....stay safe.

To explain. Those people with test-proven Covid-19 ( e.g in China =80,000) vs the predicted number of infected but not tested people.
So if 80,000 have enough symptoms to be tested and that represents 10% of the true number of infections. The true number is 800,000
Agreed even those numbers do not add up, but are closer. Germany are probably including the people who it passes through without causing anything (and there must be loads of those people for it to get so far so fast)
I am sure many many of us have or will have the virus, and suspect it is already ripping through the population. They are only testing sick people, and more people are demanding testing. (Me today:is my headache and general lethagy due to the wine I drank last night...or is it Cornavirus?)
As Finglas said, I am not worried but if you have an aged parent with health issues, or a dear friend with serious lung disease like I do. You worry
So lets all just not panic and take care of ourselves and each other
