I just don’t understand the logic behind the vaccine rollout. Give it to the groups most likely to spread it first. Look at the top 3 groups, over 80, 75, 70. The easiest three groups to keep indoors, none probably working and all drawing a pension.

If they stay indoors let’s look at how they could catch Covid? Maybe a store delivery driver or care worker or the family member that needs to look after them which we’ll class as the carer. Give these people the jab first.

Give the vaccine to the shop workers in the supermarket, the delivery drivers, the care workers, the teachers NHS staff, bus drivers, give it to those most likely to spread it.

Give it to the plumbers and electricians that might enter a pensioners home, those still able to work or expected to through a lockdown should be first in the queue.

This isn’t about ignoring the elderly, I just see the over 75s as the easiest group to ask to stay indoors. If they need a hospital appointment or awaiting surgery they join the top group.
That is a very good way of looking at how to solve the problem and I agree, but as the older people will still die it will not look good on the stats so the elderly and ill will get it first.

In 2012, the government had a meeting with NHS bigwigs and one of the issues that was on the agenda was, they were saving too many old people, so think on. they don't give a **** about a lot of elderly folk.

Would you believe it. We have been put into lock down for 72 hrs following an small outbreak of Covid, actually nowhere near us, but ,hey ho, no real problem. BUT, already the stores are full of shoppers and guess what they're buying? Yes, toilet paper!! We are quarantined from 6.00 pm today (Friday) until 6.00 pm Monday. At a pinch, I can go three days without a ****. I don't need that much bog roll.
