Let me tell of of a situation I walked in to about half an hour ago at work. I'm walking in to the place (it's an engineering firm of around 300 employees) and theres a guy (50ish) walking out to his car. He stops and tells me that he has been sent home because he is "full of cold".

I walk inside and there is a young lad in the locker room coughing. Whilst I am getting dressed he informs me that he has had a really bad cough for a couple of days which has kept him awake and has had hot and cold flushes earlier on in the week. His words "****ing coronovirus, I'm only 19, it's not going to kill me is it?". I leave him to it and wander past his machine where there is a bit of a discussion between a group of people. His night man (late 50's) who works the same machine is telling the HR girl that his wife has health problems and that her immune system is shot to ****. He stays away from her even if he has a slight cold. He's obviously not happy and is obviously pretty upset that this kid has not done anything about his cough.

Hey, it might just be a cough but the poor fella on night was distraught thinking that he may have been handling the same things as the young lad and possibly taking it home to his vulnerable wife.

These situations will multiply as weeks go on.

That doesn't surprise me it's what I call a selfish attitude
If your young and fit you will survive no problem but if you have health issues you've got big big problems
If the 19 year old has got cv I just wonder how many people he has contaminated the annoying thing is he new he was not well
Don't ask me what the answer is because I haven't a clue but very worrying times The Mrs has got 2 heart valves every one else has three so she is down as having heart problems also diabetic and has copd I have copd and high blood pressure
Unfortunately many speak from the view by which it will effect them personally not what is necessarily good for the population as a whole if we are not careful we will have a young v old and we have been here before

Cook at home, the amount of coins etc takeaways handle is a big problem.

I hope your wife gets through all this **** Pennth. I believe that anyone still alive regardless of age deserves the same respect. Unfortunately we are a selfish race, well a lot of the human race are, including myself,it's all about self preservation. Hopefully this virus will run its course sooner rather than later.<ok>

You’re right, we’ll all have different opinions and some more selfish than others, I’ve said my piece and at the end of the day it’s not anything we’ll have a say over but I certainly hope your wife and self come out safe and okay <ok>

From a personal point of view the wife and I have decided to self isolate until further notice to our holiday home in the country family have been informed
We have plenty of bog roll food and hand gel
From a very selfish point of view I now require everyone to go out and get CV and with a bit of luck it will all be over in 2/3 weeks just as my supply’s run out :smiley-finger007:

Sh-t just checked my wine stock and I will run out middle of next week bit of bad planning there must arrange a delivery asap

We’ve flights booked for our apartment in Cyprus mid May, Cyprus are saying anyone who arrives from the UK must self quarantine themselves for 14 days, I’m not sure how we’ll stand on refunds for our flights just yet
