If you were a dwarf, which one would you be? (I’d ask Shaks the same but I’ve noticed he can get a bit tetchy sometimes).
This Country and many others couldn’t afford or cope being on a lockdown for more than a month. Companies would go under, there would be mass unemployment, it would set the country back 10 years or more. It’s all well and good saying health is more important and to the elderly it is but not to the rest of us. Virus takes 14 days to show, lock down for 28 days, if it’s still around then after 28 days the lockdown didn’t work so what’s the point continuing it. I can’t believe the hysteria this is causing. All these famous people who have it now, the Canadian PMs wife, Rita Wilson, football players, sports men and women and politicians and their aides around the world, they’re all under 65 so let’s see if they make a recovery or if they add to the death toll statistics. When they all make a full recovery maybe a few will start opening their eyes that this isn’t a death sentence if you’re under 65 with no underlying conditions Keep the over 65s indoors, keep those with underlying conditions indoors, spend that Coronavirus package on keeping them safe and let’s get on with it. It’s going to increase, it needs to peak and infect those it’s going to, it needs to run it’s course.
I get the argument ristac, I really do. Let me tell of of a situation I walked in to about half an hour ago at work. I'm walking in to the place (it's an engineering firm of around 300 employees) and theres a guy (50ish) walking out to his car. He stops and tells me that he has been sent home because he is "full of cold". I walk inside and there is a young lad in the locker room coughing. Whilst I am getting dressed he informs me that he has had a really bad cough for a couple of days which has kept him awake and has had hot and cold flushes earlier on in the week. His words "****ing coronovirus, I'm only 19, it's not going to kill me is it?". I leave him to it and wander past his machine where there is a bit of a discussion between a group of people. His night man (late 50's) who works the same machine is telling the HR girl that his wife has health problems and that her immune system is shot to ****. He stays away from her even if he has a slight cold. He's obviously not happy and is obviously pretty upset that this kid has not done anything about his cough. Hey, it might just be a cough but the poor fella on night was distraught thinking that he may have been handling the same things as the young lad and possibly taking it home to his vulnerable wife. These situations will multiply as weeks go on.
Its people like that bitter **** that causes the remoaner sheeple to go full retard, he had no sensible solution to the problem just waffling on about how bad the government is and its the fault of Brexit, the Prick
There will be people who have a sniffle and a common cold telling their grandkids in years to come that they survived the great plague of '20 Grandad... "I'm a covid19 vet son, i lived to tell the story it was hell on earth" Grandson... "But it was just the flu grandad" Grandad... "YOU WEREN'T THERE MAAAAN!!!
I see your point but the 50 year old guy with a poorly wife should be one of those who are told to stay at home and you’ll get paid. I’ve zero problem with 20,000+ people saying I’ve a kid or wife or dependent parent so I’m staying at home and getting this government SSP payment. If he is worried, why does he need the government to tell him to stay at home? Just say I’m not feeling well I’m not coming in, I’m self isolating.
Thats ok if everyone is responsible enough to do that but unfortunately they're not. Its like posters on twitter declaring there would be 50k fans outside Elland Road for last game of season if played behind closed doors. Its a gross exaggeration of course but why would someone want to risk their families lives to stand outside a stadium when game would be live on tv. Its people like that who need a law to keep them at home
