“I’m just focused on my football, I leave the talks to my agent,” said Sterling recently. But the youngster needs to start asking himself who exactly is looking after his best interests?

The little **** should be placed in the reserves until sold or his contdact runs out instead of being allowed to hold the club to ransom, Ibe has shown he has what it takes to replace Sterling in the few games he's played.

Sad way of modern times though PMK. I agree he should be put in his place somehow but if he is mistreated (in his mind) in anyway he'll say '**** your contract' and force a move away anyway.

On Ibe, I've been convinced for a while that he is the better player out of the two but obviously sterling is ahead of him at present and has been for a couple of years, mainly down to opportunities they've been given. Ibe as more to his game IMO and once developed, will be a better all round player than Sterling.

Sterling is better than I gave him credit for before but I still don't think he's as great as most make out. His decision making is awful and he still reminds me of Walcott; lots of pace and plays best on instinct.

Sterling is far more than Walcott, and has far more potential.

We saw a lot of that last season when he played at the tip of the diamond - not only did he show his versatility i.e. he's not just a winger in the form of SWP or Lennon, but he showed vision, intelligence and great movement.

He's a special player and I would love to keep him but there is no way we should be paying in £150k.

He can be replaced - Firmino and Depay are two obvious candidates and would cost half of what we could sell Sterling for.

Problem is, if Rodgers, gets his way, we'll end up signing the likes of Sinclair or Dyer as a replacement.

Interesting views on two players who look to have become key men for Rodgers.

The important thing would be to think about how much a replacement for both could cost in transfers and wages....also how quickly the replacements would integrate into the side, would they be as effective as the two you have.

Neither are Suarez and impossible to replace.

As has been said, Ibe already looks like a ready made replacement for Sterling and 2 years ago, many were saying he had far greater potential but age and opportunity meant Sterling got his first.

In the small glimpses he's shown real quality in a position he's unfamiliar with and I'd love to see him pushed further up and see how he develops there. He's far better in front of goal than Sterling who still hasn't learnt to strike a ball properly.

Henderson I do really like, but lets be honest with ourselves, he's not top 1 or 2 tier quality. He has some very god qualities, very athletic, passing is good and very good pressing which works for our midfield. However those attributes can be picked up in quite a few midfielders.

Thing with both of these players is I can see City going for both. Henderson could do a Rodwell and go and hardly play or possibly be a replacement for Milner, coming on now and then but always the first out the team sheet when the Braziliians and Toure are fit. Both will also boost their home grown quota which they are desperate to increase.

You would be dangerous if you had someone who could finish (between injuries) in your team <ok>

Walcott can go from a brilliant finish to Danny Welbeck so quickly its unreal.

Would rather we went for someone a bit more consistent, and less injury prone, to be honest.

Dyabala ? he will be off somewhere in the summer that`s for sure <ok>

I don't think anyone was suggesting we should actual sign Walcott, I was taking the piss (yes, again lol)

If we want a goalscorer that fits our system, works hard and can lead by example; Carlos Tevez!

Seems like a talent, will definitely be leaving Palermo in the summer but don't think we'll have the £££ to compete with the clubs that will be after him. Vietto, Lacazette & Icardi will all be available in the summer as well I think, and they all seem like great players who would improve our team.

We'll probably sign Danny Ings and James Milner though <laugh>

Lead by example - Handing in transfer requests and refusing to come off the bench??? <laugh> Taking the piss again? <whistle>

Milner would be a very good addition, can do the same job as Henderson and some extra. All at no cost <ok>

Only seen Ibe in the Goodison derby.

Will he be a better player than Sterling is now or can be? But he needs more than a handful of games first.

Henderson seems to do a job for you guys and does it well. Better player than Allen or Lucas for me.

I guess time will tell for both and what their futures hold. But will be expensive to replace them.

That's in the past and I meant on the pitch, he has the same drive as Suarez.

Ibe is certainly talented and become better than Sterling IMO.

But that doesn't stop us from signing quality players if we sold Sterling. As mentioned, Depay and Firmino would cost half of what we sell Sterling for, and are already better and have more potential.

I rather we sell Lallana, buy one of the players above and keep Sterling.

How much do you seriously think you would get for Sterling and who would pay it. Given most teams are now taking FFP into account so only pay big for players that can improve them, he would have to be better than they already have.
