Don't think he'll take denominations of more a 1000, maybe if you pay in real estate he'd go for it. Marylebone Station and The Old Kent Rd would probably do the business.
Strange really, i asked him for £3mil on the Arsenal board and he answered on here. I prefer to do business with people who pay attention to detail
Who? Never seen these players play, will the fit the liverpool style....would the come.....would they settle into lif in England(assuming they are from overseas)
Depay plays in Holland. Firmino has been one of the standout performers over past 2 years. Nothing to suggest they wouldn't settle in England - more so than if we were to sign English players.
Are they both Sterling type players? If so then the alleged cost of Sterling may mean you get outbid by City and others willing to offer more while Sterling stays? Sure Rodgers isn't the only one looking at these two?
It was, it was still happening at the start of this season but he seems to have got over that now. However, I don't think that was the main reason last year. I think Brod found it difficult to get him and Sterling into the diamond formation. We often saw Coutinho on the left of the central three which wasn't ideal and probably contributed to a lot of his substitutions, he was the obvious pick when looking to change things around a bit. We're actually seeing similar again now but Coutinho has cemented that No.10 role so its Sterling that's being shifted about instead. Last couple of games Raheem or Lallana have been playing RM/RWB.
Yes - quick, direct, creative, better decision making and more refined. They score more goals as well. I think we could sell Sterling for £40-50m - he's certainly not worth that but he's already a good player with world class potential, plus he's English. Anything less than £40m and I wouldn't sell. Sell for £40m and we can sign 2-3 quality players to boost the first team - providing Rodgers doesn't waste it on Soton mediocrity again!
Will we get that much for him given his poor form and the fact that he has only a year left on his contract? What did RvP go for to Utd? £20m ish wasn't it? I think he's been tapped up and is being a mercenary......time to let go, he isn't that great atm anyway and his decision making, final ball and shooting hasn't improved one iota. He can be very direct though and cause chaos in a back line.....we'd miss that
I'm sure he has more time on his current deal though? And if we do, we have the leverage. Giving a young player over £100k a week is not good for the club - what happens in 1-2 years time? Give him £200k? It's not sustainable and quite frankly, it's not deserved yet.
